  • Just caught up...no broadband at home at the weekend.

Love all the chook talk and pics.

Glad they are settling in well.

    How's my girl :)

  • Today's chicken news:

No. of chickens who went to bed inside the coop = 9 :T
No. of eggs = 1 (Miss B (not Beryl))

    I didn't see the newbies today :(

I had to pop out in my lunch hour to buy some more chicken feed - I forgot how much more chickens eat when they're eating their food rather than my garden!

Work was dull today. I was counting down the hours from mid-morning... :rotfl: 17 days to payday, 44 days to my holiday :D

Smoky black bean & roast tomato soup for dinner
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)

Do you need chicken sitters? We'll get a rota :j:j:j:j.

Seriously, that's no time at all :T.

  • Today's news:

    - Had my final performance review of 2012 and overall rating of 4 confirmed - my line manager said that he couldn't discuss bonuses or pay increases and then promptly told me that I should get an increase in the region of 4% :T

    - No news yet on when I'll get a career development plan... I've only been in this job 3 years... if it wasn't so :(:(:(, I'd :rotfl:

    - Decided that I might have better luck climbing the career ladder if I transfer to a different one! Not sure how easy that will be in practice but it's a better fit for my job description and I've already registered for a project management training course in May :D

    - 3 eggs today - a white one, a green one and a brown one

    - Miss LRH, Miss Beryl and Miss Gladys are OK

    - Yummy Delia's bangers braised in cider with bubble & squeak for dinner

I'm hoping for pink ones from Miss LRH :D.

Great news on increase and good feedback. Re changing career - well, I've been working for over 30 years and am still working out what I want to do (apart from retire :p).

  • Early retirement is tempting GG :D

I'm quite well paid for what I do so, rather than stress about career progression/development and take on extra responsibilities, I suppose I could always sit on my backside and do the bare minimum :rotfl:

Now that would be my IDEAL job:D

Kisses to Miss Gladys and Miss Beryl and a hiya to Miss LRH

Also well done on the increase
    February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
    MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
    C'mon nattypants:cool:
  • Can I ask an egg related question? We found a strange egg today which looks like an egg with all of the pigment taken out of it. We think it came from one of the copper blacks. Could this be a first egg?
