A quick update:
- holiday was fab
- slept at least 10 hours/day (paying for it now though... a total of 6 hours over past 2 days)
- drove through Buffalo before the lake effect snow dump (phew!)
- spent too much money...
- ate too much (but only gained 1 pound :T)
- discovered a new cocktail (Canadian whiskey, cranberries cooked with cinnamon + star anise, cloudy apple juice & ginger ale)
- rubbish homecoming yesterday (I took a poorly chook to the vet and came home without her)
- currently making Christmas chutney (I am so not ready for Christmas )
- away on a business trip tomorrow and Friday (I haven't packed yet...)

thats always hard.
Business trip sounds a bit near to your holiday return - but everything else sounds fab, especially the cocktail. I have some cranberries in ready for Christmas2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
muddywhitechicken - so very pleased that you are back with us safe and sound. Thank you so much for the recipe on my thread too. I've had a look through it, and I'll definitely make it in December. What is your Uncles name - I need to name the soup after him - surely?
zuppa di Zio Antonio or something like it???
I'm sorry to hear that you have lost a chicken from your flock. Never easy, but so glad that you take such good care of all of them - not just the ones that are *lucky* enough to have us *aunties* :rotfl:
Love to *the girls* and have a great day you

Cocktail sounds great and I don't even like whiskey
