    I often have to stop Mr gt from doing things like that (usually checked flat caps or hats with peaks and bog fluffy pull down flaps) - I tell him there's normally a reason WHY no one else wanted the item - normally with his choice of items it's because they're fairly hideous!:p

    This is actually quite nice.And any voluntary clothes shopping has to be nurtured and encouraged :D.

    We've had a lovely weekend visiting friends in the US :)

  • Monday was a whiteout so we had to abandon our sightseeing trip to Thousand Islands :(

    Today was cold (-8C felt like -19C with the windchill :eek:) and sunny so we decided to go to the beach! I got to walk along the boardwalk :)

    Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!

    In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Goodness MWC - that is cold! And all that snow down in the US states too.

    I'm sure the folks you are with are used to it all - I recall going out grocery shopping in the US with a couple I was staying with - the same weather in the UK would have caused everything to grind to a halt and a national emergency to be declared :rotfl:
