  • Just dropping by to say have a good weekend.

Edna and Agnes are well loved by the Tilly family. As is Beatrice :). My sister, sadly who passed away just after I started my diary, used to be in stitches often over comments from our Great Aunt Beatrice :).

    Best wishes Tilly x

Eggs OUT 2 (rum-soaked sultana, banana & walnut cake)

Plants IN 88  40 vegetable plug plants and 48 bee-friendly perennial plug plants (free with last month's GW magazine)

Need to leave at 2 o'clock on Friday... before then I need to do 1.5 days work, 3 loads of washing, decide what I want to wear this weekend and make sure it's dry, pack, make cookies, buy SIL a birthday card, harvest veg to take with us, clean chicken coop, ask neighbours to chicken sit, decide where we're going to park the car, look up ferry times, phone brother, phone dad, walk 15,000 steps/day and plant up 48 plug plants... aargh!!!

Making headway with the list... well apart from dry clothes, ironing and packing

I bought a really tasty looking rib of beef joint at a farmer's market today  just managed to squeeze it in the freezer... I only wanted some mince... :rotfl: but I did get some rare breed sausages free of charge :D

    Mr MWC sold a few shares @ >$100 profit/share :j

Not sure when I'll get back online - if it's not until Tuesday, I hope everyone has a lovely BH weekend :)

Hello MWC! Back again, properly this time - how lovely that you managed to get away for the weekend - hope you didn't get *too* wet, its awfully damp down south! My puddles have got puddles ... still, I don't need to water the South American tuber stuff for a couple of days, thats always good.

  • Welcome back KC :) Sorry to read that the virus got you again :(

We had a lovely weekend away (apart from the M25 traffic on Friday afternoon and yesterday's rain)

Mr MWC is off on a business trip this afternoon so I'm home alone until Saturday - good riddance too as he has [STRIKE]a[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]cold[/STRIKE] man flu!

My stint of looking after the down-the-road chickens has come to an end :( By the the end of the 2 weeks - and with the mighty power of dried mealworms - I had 2/3 eating out of my hand :T

    Hi there!

Yep, the virus was much mightier than my willpower :( much better now tho - and I have some pix of a 3 month old great-nephew to prove it. He was so sleepy, I didn't get to hold him, but that meant I got to admire him from afar :T

Glad to hear your weekend was a good'un - and that Mr MWC is gone, if he's got any sort of bug :D

As my personal chef is away this week ;) I had a fishfinger, pickled cucumber & lettuce sandwich for dinner - it was delicious

Bottom-of-the-garden neighbour has gifted me a bagful of Victoria plums :T Off to Fortune's diary now to find some recipes...
