I don't really get the joke about novelty tomatoes but I'm sure it will ketchup with me! :rotfl:

    Novelty = double the price!

    Black Russian - deep purple/black
    Yellow pear - err yellow!
Orange brandy wine - light rosy pink
    Green tiger - green stripe
    Rambling red stripe - red/green

And I was already growing sungold (orange)

So far the squirrel has left them alone...

Still no official news on the promotion... although we went out for lunch on Friday and my boss bought champagne to celebrate a permanent contract for my colleague (the third party) and my promotion

Mr MWC has asked me to bake him a banana cake so that is my job for this evening along with a batch of cookies (blueberry/pistachio/white chocolate chip/lime) for a friend's birthday. I'd better get a move on as I also need an early night :)

Thanks for the tomato explanation ... I think some of Mr. Hbbb's are orange this time around!

Good luck with tonight's baking ... let's hope for no burned bottoms on the cookery front tonight! x

    I haven't burnt anything yet!

Preserving pan has been scrubbed clean and hopefully I'll be able to buy some goosegogs at the farmer's market tomorrow :) Still annoyed with myself that I ruined the homegrown ones though :(

    I have a burnt bottom :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Those are some nice shares Mr MWC (when they eventually vest).

I read a cracking newspaper article yesterday about a slacker AOL employee who stuck around for 5-6 years and got $2.5 million :D

I need to work for AOL. I could do nothing and make a fortune :) Somehow I suspect it wouldn't work. Back to the daily grind!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I've grown the yellow pear and black Russian before - nice varieties. Wasn't fussed (personally) on the green stripey ones though. Sungold are ok too :) xx

Can you re brand the burnt jam as coulis?
  • Those are some nice shares Mr MWC (when they eventually vest).

IF they vest ed, Mr MWC told me this evening that he has applied for another job...

He gave the recruiter a long list of reasons why he didn't want the job and the recruiter still phoned back and talked him into applying!

Maybe they'll offer him the job and make him an offer he can't refuse :D
