I've just been feeling woesome about compost & the difficulty having to cart it about the place as well, MWC.
Why can't the garden pixies just sort it all out for us?
You went on pinterest and got out out again all on your own . Don't do it again, you may not be so lucky next time - tell one of us and we'll hold on to your belt so we can pull you out after a few hours.
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -

Do you think if I ask nicely that they would also pull out the hundreds of sycamore seedlings that are starting to appear in my garden?!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

I caught a few sycamore wings just peeking out of the soil, setting their roots in - I tell you, weeding has its advantages
The garden pixies are a bit slow on the uptake, I must say2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Please send garden pixies asap. In dire need. Mr Watty threatening to pay a gardener. Happy to bribe you all to part with garden pixies. It might be cheaper!!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Eggs IN 3 (was 4 but Mr MWC dropped one )
Eggs OUT 6 (1 box sold for £1.50)
I bought some more plants this evening - now that I've started spending money I can't stop...:o
The sycamore seeds are a real pain - I live on a road lined with sycamore trees and my neighbours have a sycamore tree in their back garden* - as are the squirrels that plant peanuts and sunflower seeds in my garden and forget about them!
* they're not very keen on gardening so they probably have more than 1 :rotfl:

Hi muddy
First time reading your diary - very interesting! It's great to see you have a count down until next pay day haha - I am exactly the same! Especially when it gets to that half way point! I've already got my budget all sorted and next months money pretty much spent!!
Good luckSaving for our next step up the property ladder0 -
Are there any horses round you, MWC? An online friend of mine had a 2 year old Shetland pony he was just starting to train, and the poor little thing died a couple of months ago - the storms had blown sycamore seeds into the field where he was kept, and he ate a few - his kidneys stopped working, and he died. The British Equine Vet. Association has published work on it recently, but its not **publicised** it2023: the year I get to buy a car0
