    Wow - that's a heck of a cheque MWC! :)

I've just had an inspired idea re. peppermint bark. Nah, it's essentially make peppermint bark with L1dl's finest 17p chocolate!

List done apart from the housework...

My dad popped in at lunchtime (HM pearl barley broth & HM bread - yum) and hand-delivered some post from HMR&C... a tax rebate of £155 :T

I really should ask them to update their system with my married name and current address - I've been married for 12.5 years :rotfl:

Bengali squash & chickpea curry, white cabbage stir-fried in mustard oil with nigella seeds and curry leaves, and rice for dinner

Mr MWC has left me to fend for myself so leftovers for dinner tonight (broth and bread), leftovers for dinner tomorrow (curry), leftovers for dinner Wednesday (frozen cottage pie), eggs on Thursday and a fishfinger sandwich on Friday :rotfl:

I was hoping to go for another walk this evening but it's raining heavily :(

Pest controller came and checked the loft. The bait hasn't been touched - even more convinced now that our loft monster is a squirrel. Now waiting for a chap to block the gap between the top of the wall and the eaves whilst the squirrel is out and about - it'll be dark soon...

First WI meeting this evening :D

Welll done on the tax rebate, excellent news.

Glad to hear your girls are recovering from all the rain, mine seem a little brighter although my white one (my freeloading free ranger) tried to give herself a dust bath in ground that's more mud than dust. She's turned herself into your namesake MWC!

Squirrels are cheeky loft lurkers, not sure if that's better or worse than rats (which can be dealt with more easily, really).

Hope the WI meeting went well.

Slightly disappointed that I didn't lose any weight this week however overall I'm very pleased with my progress :D

PS I think I'm going to like WI (even though the purchase of a raffle ticket meant I couldn't claim a NSD!), everyone was very friendly and I'm looking to the next meeting :)
