  • I've woken up with a stonking headache :( just as well I was planning a lazy day today :)

Not sure what we're eating so I thought I would look at my RC recipe list again:

Parsnip & thyme soda bread - tick
Split pea & ham soup - tick
    Sausage & root veg stew
Oxtail with cinnamon & star anise - tick
Shin of beef with ginger & soy
Pot-roast pheasant with chorizo, butter beans & parsley
5-root soup with bacon - tick
    Thyme and caramelised onion mash
    Squash & fennel lasagne
3-root boulangere with big baked mushrooms - tick
Spelt salad with squash & fennel
Roasted parsnip, puy lentil & watercress salad
Warm salad of mushrooms & roasted squash
    Porotos granados
    Parsnip & ginger soup
    Chestnut & sage soup
    Pearl barley broth - tick
Cannellini bean & leek soup with chilli oil - tick, tick
    Oven-roasted roots frittata - tick
    Mushroom risoniotto
    Leek risotto with chestnuts
Winter stir-fry with Chinese five spice - tick, tick, tick - we like this one :rotfl:
Roasted roots with apple & rosemary
Sausage & puy lentil hotpot with prunes - tick

I really don't fancy eating meat today so possibly the leek risotto, as we have all of the ingredients, or one of the salads.

Hope you feel better soon, a wee rest and lots to drink might help.

Thanks SS and Natty - I'm on my third glass of water :)

I only had a couple of glasses of prosecco yesterday evening - certainly not enough to feel this bad!

Do you feel cheated? I do when I get a headache I don't deserve after not drinking :rotfl:. Hope you're on the mend.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Yes, I do!!! Especially as Mr MWC obviously drunk loads more than me (I know this because he bought a kebab on his way home) and he's absolutely fine this morning :rotfl:

After a wet and windy start, it has been a lovely day today. We went for a walk this afternoon and I pegged out some washing :T

Mr MWC has decided he likes mince pies after trying one of these - so now I have to share the box!

  • Oh no, how rubbish! :( Well with any luck he'll become fixated on them and buy you several more boxes MWC ;) Though this is a lesson to us all... I'll have to be careful with Mr M over the next several days(!) ;)

PS. I should really say a proper hello! ;) Your diary makes for some great reading, thank you! & continuing good luck on your journey :)
