Making chicken feed of my mortgage

Hello Natty
Eggs IN 6
Eggs OUT 0
Mr MWC made a delicious beef panang curry from scratch - the nicest thing I have eaten in a long time :T There were 30 dried red chillies in the curry paste  and although he used 1/2 the paste, it wasn't too hot
He's also made a fruit crumble that is cooking as we speak - Mmmm
So, what did I actually do today?!
- stripped the bed, washed/line-dried/ironed the bedding (will turn mattress when I make the bed)
- mowed the lawn
- dead-headed/weeded
- deep-cleaned the chicken coop after finding red mite
- cleaned shower but not rest of bathroom yet, washed towelsMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

The only one of his books that I've read (I think) is The Grapes of Wrath. I read that a few years ago and loved it. Incredibly shocking though; if I had read it before I knew what I now know about the US, I would never have believed it.Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -

Everything has been pressure-washed, sprayed with insecticide (before and after washing) and dusted with diatom so fingers crossed. I'll wait until The Girls have finished laying and take a look...Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Another beautiful morning here - haven't seen the weather forecast though...
Jobs for today:
- 2 loads of laundry - 1 already done and pegged out
- hoover/clean all floors
- finish cleaning bathroom
- check chicken coop for red mite
We are also doing another walk from our box today - 6 miles through 2 more picturesque villages where we can't afford to buy a single house! Planning to take a picnic lunch - egg sandwiches, cherry tomatoes from the garden and something else but not sure what... I'll have a rummage in the cupboard!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Aaaaargh! Red Mite! Hopefully you've caught it early MWC. It's such a pain to get rid of.
Enjoy your walk today.

Don't worry MWC - I can't think of a single village in Scotland that's picturesque and cheap enough for Mrs E and I :rotfl:
