Making chicken feed of my mortgage

  • Another beautiful day here :D

I already have one load of washing on the line and another one due to finish shortly.

Before I go back to work on Monday, I want to:

    - Paint dining room walls
    - Scrub floors downstairs
    - Empty and clean conservatory
    - Hoover new carpets - again...

This weekend, I also need to:

    - Meal plan for September
    - Bake a chocolate brownie & raspberry cheesecake and a (as yet undecided) savoury dish for our street party tomorrow
    - Buy a mattress protector and fitted sheet for a small double bed
    - Do some more gardening

OK, off to peg out the washing, followed by another mug of tea, then I'll think about doing some housework :rotfl:

  • Dining room painted :T

It was just a freshen-up rather than a full makeover. We went a shade darker on the painted walls (now Dulux Night Jewels 5)

Off to do some ironing now :(

  • Bedding ironed, niece's bed made and cheesecake baking in the oven.

Really tempted to sit down now with a glass of wine however I really must do some more housework otherwise I'll be doing it tomorrow evening rather than relaxing before I go back to work :(

  • Wine drunk and leftover pizza from Thursday eaten for dinner :)

    Eggs IN 6
    Eggs OUT 5 (in cheesecake)

Off to tackle the conservatory now... if I empty it now I will be able to clean first thing tomorrow before it gets too hot in there

I'm looking forward to shuffling money to the savings and mortgage tomorrow :D

  • No time for a lie-in Tilly (and Mr MWC will be exhaling stale beery breath on me so I won't want to stay in bed anyway...!). I am sitting down with a cup of tea now though :)

The next few weeks are going to be busy so I want the house to be spotless and then I only have to swish & swipe to keep on top of things :D

  • Cloudy here today which is a shame as it's our street party this afternoon :(

One load of washing done and pegged out

Money transferred to regular saver and a £500 MOP made from my current account :j

7p less interest on the joint flexdirect account this month - all because Mr MWC transferred some money out t his ISA before transferring some in from his account  :rotfl:

Conservatory windows cleaned before I stopped for breakfast - off to hoover in there now
