MWC - where I stay there are a number of foxes, should I assume that chickens are a no no for me? (on the plus, I do have a good sized garden and the dog never seems to bother with garden bird visitors).
PS Mr MWC is one jammy sod:TFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

He is indeed Natty :rotfl:
Free-ranging your chickens without supervision would be a no no but you can get fox-proof runs. We've been visited by a fox twice - both times The Girls were in their run and safe.Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

PS male urine is supposed to be a fox deterrent so you need to find yourself a lovely man :smileyhea and ask him to pee in the garden :rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

I will remember to include this if I ever get round to doing a personal ad;)
I would be too concerned about foxes, and would only end up having the chooks in my house ... then in my bed ... (in case they felt cold), so probs not the best road for me to go down:pFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

In that case, I probably agree with you!
The chickens aren't allowed in the house unless they are very, very poorly.Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Quite pricey but really easy to clean
Used classics seem to sell for approx. £150-£250 on ebay
There are lots of photos on the omlet forum of people's walk-in runs
