Looks like a lot of pork chops/chicken breasts/lamb with gooseberry sauce coming up on the meal plans :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Popped to B&Q this morning to look at paint colours... and saw some wallpaper I liked :D I need to e-mail the decorators now and ask them for a new quote!

Spiced roast chicken with sweet potato, quinoa, peas & herbs for dinner

Dad's ladyfriend didn't seem so annoying today - must have been the Pimms :rotfl:

  • Eggs IN 10 (6 yesterday & only 4 today)
Eggs OUT 4 (4 little beryls poached for dinner tonight, loads to sell tomorrow)

We're on a fast day again today - a small serving of smoked haddock, poached eggs and asparagus for dinner :)

Our bathroom is a complete nightmare... everything (bar the toilet - phew ;)) is leaking - after being fixed last year the shower cubicle has been out of action for a few weeks after developing a new leak, the sink leaks because the taps were never fitted properly and finally at the weekend, the bath started leaking :(:(:(

A plumber/bathroom fitter is coming to fix it on Friday - fingers crossed it's third time lucky. At £80 1st hour, £50/hour thereafter, I'm hoping it is something fairly simple for a professional (Mr MWC has been unable to fix it despite several attempts!) It was a brand new bathroom when we moved in 5 years ago but the shower cubicle leaked so 2 years ago we bought a new shower cubicle and remodelled the bathroom, fully tiled etc. A very slow leak from the shower became apparent after a year and we had to knock a hole in the bedroom wall to fix it  and now it's leaking downwards not sideways...

Hope you get your shower back ok.x
  • ... after I told him that I had applied for a Tesco CC interest-free for 18 months so I could buy furniture for the soon-to-be-decorated spare bedroom and carpet the stairs/landing/all 3 bedrooms without a) reducing MOPs, b) spending our holiday fund, c) taking money out of ISAs or d) waiting until my bonus next April

He says that we have more than enough money in savings to pay outright. I agree but as I have no CC debt my argument is why not borrow money from nasty Mr T for 18 months and then pay it back without paying a single penny in interest :D

A £300 MOP will be made at the weekend :D

We've nearly survived our fourth fast day - a small portion of chicken and a large portion of salad for dinner :T

I've also browsed the new Next Home directory and I'm pleased to report that there is absolutely nothing that I want to buy :rotfl:
