no, they have not changed the signs.
  • Hi All,
Sorry to be essentially making you repeat everything but I just need to be clear!!
In May, I got a parking ticket and yes I did and actually meant to pay but put ticket in side door pocket and basically forgot all about it!!

I got a letter from Roxburghe at end of Oct 2012 for £142 basically saying our client (EXCEL at peel centre) sent you a notice to registered keeper to which they have not rec payment blah blah blah... it then says if we do not hear from you in 14 days it will be passed onto Graham White, with a section saying "We are fully aware of anecdotal information being presented etc etc etc...."

I now have the letter from Graham White that I opened today, dated dated only 9 days later - so they haven't actually left it 14 days as stated in last letter. This states that I have been written by Excel and Roxburghe requesting settle of pcn and excel may instruct us to take legal action... with a grid showing expected fees of £207.25 if they do and if any judgement is listed against me then it can affect credit etc.

Am I right to ignore here, just worrying myself now as I so cant afford any fee, never mind £142 or 207!!!

Oh the good old £207.25 a nice link provided for you to look at the about 1000 hits for this. They send that out to everyone, and by the way graham white are roxburghe pretending to be solicitors.

Take a look at my signature below, you will see Roxburghe and Excel have been banned from accessing the dvla data link for addresses because fraudulent gross misconduct, they may have got your details before the ban, but as I ask do you really need to know what kind scum run these companies?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

continue to ignore them, although if your feeling charitable you can send them a toothbrush should they ( highly unlikly) chose court.

you did not get permission off me to get a FAKE ticket on my patch at the peel centre,as a result i have considered your appeal to get a real one and unfortuanately your appeal has been rejected, so you remain with a FAKE ticket and the same one word advice,,IGNORE,,,they you go jobs a belter aint it,as for graham white and roxburghe, geographically, one is simply on the next desk along, with the same work experience youngster sending out the mail for them,,,graham white is a,wait for it FAKE solicitor,,oh yes they are,,,and roxburghe(we have zero powers)debt collectors are simply a bunch of clowns,,now the only thing you have to worry about is the amount of threat o grams you recieve between now and next nov 5th to light the bonfire with???? or if you like use it as loo paper and when you have finished, simply press flush and IGNORE.come back for reassurance as often as you like, but you aint getting a real ticket from excell at the peel centre, full stop.
  • Thank you all for the reassurance - I was more worried in that fact that it is a pay and display carpark and I had bought no ticket - without even thinking I just parked outside NEXT and collected a parcel. Came out and had a ticket and could have kicked myself for my stupidity, then even more when I realised I hadnt paid fine and suddenly I was getting threatening letters and felt sick. I dont have money to burn.

If you all assure me to ignore, then ignore I will. Glad I googled so called solicitor to try get an email address to plead innocence and came across all this helpful info!!!

Be assured. IGNORE IT. Hope you realise now you would have been an utter MUG if you had paid this fake ticket? :)

Like all the other posters on this board, you have a fake PCN. It does not matter whether your car was parked wrongly or not because fake PCNs are just a moneymaking con. Did you know that Excel have just been banned from getting DVLA data for 3 months at least, due to their signs? So you can hardly worry that you never saw the sign - especially as you were parked in the same car park as Martin Cutts:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2012/04/excel_parking.html

The letters are easy to predict and laugh at, when they arrive at the address of someone who knows it's all hogwash and not a real parking ticket at all.

The whole scam of fake PCNs relies firstly on people's ignorance of the fact that a random private company can't fine anyone, and secondly on their natural fear of parking tickets and the escalating costs/bailiff scenario. So PPCs copy the look of a real parking ticket and - hey presto! - the cash rolls in from victims who know no better.

    Don't be victims! :)

There is no fine, no CCJ, no bailiff, no debt, no effect on credit rating, no Court, no repercussions at all.

Tick off the threatening letters here.

Watchdog clip with expert Solicitor's opinion, using a fake PCN with nice photos of a car (probs very much like your fake PCN!) here.

Barrister's opinion - read the answer at the bottom, it's very clear! - here.

So simply choose to ignore and laugh at the scammer and their attempt to extort money. It's like deleting obvious phishing emails from your 'Bank'; it's a very similar con based on impersonation of authority. Just play snap with each letter against the first link, then the scam fizzles out - simple!

    HTH
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
