No mention of a free trial on the Radio Ripper site that I can see.... there are mentions of free trial version on other download sites but no mention if that version is new enough to cope with iPlayer for radio.0

I recommended BBC Radio Ripper to a friend recently and I can assure you that there is a free trial.
I use it daily to download the series on America by copying the URL and pasting it into the Ripper.0 -

Radio Ripper might be worth a punt then, what we are looking for is an all-in one minimum clicks solution.0

As described in this thread here:-http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=786167
It's not difficult to convert the Real Audio files into something more useful afterwards with programs such as WinFF.
The BBC wouldn't make the streams downloadable if it was 'illegal' to do so.

after all we are at moneysavingexpert.com.
Me most of all.
Now, I've previously download Listen Again items to get them portable:
1. use a tool to ferret out the stream address.
2. Use something like Net Transport to download it. Twiddling with the settings allows it to download 6 times faster than the playing time.
3. Now play with a media converter like VLC to convert the file to MP3. This part can be slow, taking up to 50% of the playing time per file. There is a quality loss.
Done it. Fed up with it. What a faff!
If there was a product that did it all in 2 mouse clicks and I could definitely trial it before paying, say $30 then I'd do it.
