My certificate has arrived today and is backdated to 17th October. The money is also still in my account. I understood that an email would be sent prior to this confirming investment successfull. Just relieved it is hopefully all sorted. I shall not be making any further investments with M&S.0

Don't be too hard on M&S. Their mistake was to offer a product that was way ahead of the competition even for those who want access to their cash. No wonder they were overwhelmed with applications.
They have honoured their promise to pay interest from the date applications were received and although it took time, you, me and many others who didn't give up are now benefiting.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
don't forget to subtract your telephone and postage charges from the interest you get
My charges -
Postage: 1st Class stamp 41p [existing investment!] + Recorded delivery 95p.
Telephone: No calls - NIL.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
You are right barak - in the long term hopefully it will have been a wise choice of investment and will have been worth the anxiety. I did apply online but did not receive the email - not that it matters now I have the certificate.0

But if they are sending out certificates before they have the money, are they worth the paper they're printed on?!0 -
All's well! Money now been taken. No sign of the email. Just got to get R85 sorted now!0

email received this afternoon - "Thank you for your online application. We are pleased to confirm that we have completed your request and you will receive confirmation in the post within five working days"
Hopefully the money will now transfer ok, I can see by the available balance they have called for it.
So it does happen in the end but took from the 19th October after applying online.0 -
I sent off an R85 with my application and have received the certificate (showing net interest rate) plus the follow up letter, but no acknowledgement of the R85. I suppose I'll have to phone again, but was wondering if anyone else has had a response.0
