Online flower not as described

I purchased a bouquet of flowers for my mothers birthday via an online website who subcontract to local supplierswithin the delivery area of the recipient.
I ordered a bouquet which was advertised as having 5 roses, 8 lilies and some foliage. The flowers cost in excess of £35.00. When I spoke to my mum, she informed me that the bouquet had 3 roses and 3 lilies along with some foliage. When I contacted the online service they asked for photographic evidence which I asked my mother to send over to me, on reply to the company they offered 25% refund as their in house florist confimred that the bouquet was lacking by 25%!!!
I replied and stated that I wasnt happy with their offer to which they have offered me a 50% refund which they have already actioned without my consent. What I would like to know is am I entitled to a full refund. I am so embarassed about the whole situation.
Any advice would be much appriciated.

I think 50% is fair enough. Why would you want a full refund if your Mum did receive a bouquet ? Albeit a smaller one.0

I agree 50% is fair enough, even more so that although what arrived wasnt what you ordered it is not that embarrassing as your mum is well aware of what you ordered and someone else messed up. Its the sentiment isnt it?0

110% refund. Goods not delivered and disapointment.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

It doesn't matter how much was missing, if they'd delivered just a single flower you wouldn't be happy with a 95% refund!
If they are bothered about your custom and want you to use their services again they should offer a full refund.
I don't know whether you're entitled to it though, check the distance selling regulations and their website to see if they match up!0 -

Distance Selling Regulations would not apply as the items are perishable.
I would say that you would be entitled to a full refund under SOGA, however the goods should be made available for them to collect.0 -
With the 50% refund I would buy her something with roots, that way she can appreciate it's beauty for years to come.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0

Wasn't Gold Crown Flowers was it? I posted a Vent about them last year.
I ordered a bouquet of dozen mixed roses from their website to deliver to en elderly relative who lives some distance from me. I chose roses as they have a special significance for her. She rang to thank me for the carnations. I contacted Gold Crown who demanded photographic evidence before offering any compensation or explanation. I explained that the recipient didn't even possess a camera let alone the means to send me (or them) a photo and besides I didn't want her to be disturbed, it was my complaint. They told me there was nothing they could do without a photo, and offered to send another bouquet. Eventually - after much to-ing and fro-ing - I told them where to shove it was have been telling everyone I know not to use them. I also reported them to the florist trade federation (cant remember the name of the organisation) for good measure but never heard anything back from them.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
