New Sky TV Customer- help with offers/one off fee??

Options
Hi all!

I hope I am in the right place as I am speaking as a 'new' Sky TV customer. This is because I have cancelled Sky TV within the last few months but the enquiry is about a new house we are moving to, so we are classed as new.

Ok so we are wanting Sky V, BB Unlimited and line rental/calls ( the weekend package for free calls is fine as we rarely use the landline to call out). This totals £43.50 pm and carries a £10 one off charge for the line rental I believe. I was offered £7/25 discount (half price line rental) for the 12 month period, when I was talking top someone on their 'live chat' facility. He was trying to get me to cough up the £10 connection fee now but I don't have it so I politely declined and said I hoped the offer would stand when I have the £10.

This may sounds 'tight' but is there any way I can get the package with no one-off fee? Only because we move in 2wks and I can't pay the £10 until 2 days before we move, which will delay us having the services.

Also- seems they are offering a £25 M&S voucher atm and not the £100 I saw elsewhere on the site. Is that right? Is there any way I can get all of this (ideally inc the half price line rental for 12m), but avoid paying the £10 fee, or have it added to the first bill and get the ball rolling with connection to all 3 services?

Finally, how do I go about using a cashback site when I join Sky? I will look but if any of you can offer this info in simple terms when replying that would be good.

Ta, Mrs D x

For cashback, simply use it normally-log into your cashaback account and click through to Sky. Ensure you clear your cookies first though. I keep a separate 'clean' browser just for this purpose.

As you signed up to Sky on your own you are only 'entitled' to the £25 worth of vouchers. Ideally you should say you've been referred by a friend and get the £75 vouchers instead (both you and your friend get this) As for the £10 fee i have no idea as yet.

Best way to get the half price line rental is to say you've been offered the same deal by BT and want to know if they can match it.. as you LOVE sky!

    Hope this helps.

Oh and don't be afraid to be a little pushy, you don't get what you don't ask for!

Right guys, have joined Sky via Quidco, also with the refer a friend option ( as a friend suggested this after posting and I had already started the order process before going through Quidco, I closed the page down and then opened Sky via Quidco....)..... will I still get cashback even with the refer a friend offer? If so, how much and when?x

I had this when i ordered from Argos through Quidco and my internet connection went down.
you've gotta speak to Quidco and tell them its an unregistered or untracked payment thingy... They'll ask you your when you signed up and your reference number if you did it over the internet and some other stuff and then they'll speak to Sky for you to make sure everything's above board.

You get your cash back once they have approved it. :p

Also, If you ring sky or speak to them over the little chat thing on their website and say that you would like the friend referral and give them your friend's sky customer number they should be able to do it for you!
