Monthly expenditure on mobiles

Hi,

How much do people spend on their mobiles each month? I'm due to renew my contract which is currently at £10 a month with Vodafone. But in order to get a new phone, I'm probably going ot have to pay more.

I still want to keep it as low as possible and am wondering how much other students spend.

Thanks.

  • My tariff is £25 a month, which is (from what I remember) 200 mins and 1250 texts. Saying that, I think the texts have gone down to 1000. My bill is more than £25 though, as I faff about on the internet with it when I'm bored.. :o

My tariff is £30(orange) a month 200 mins 500txts, 100 landline mins,2 magic numbers. Thats on a 14.5 free on 18 month cashback so it works out a £8.75/month after cashback. I also sold my fone for £100. I think my contract is 27p a month...deal!

I pay 25 pound with orange which gives me unlimited txts and 600 minutes to anyone at anytime. I also get the magic number, which I dont use but its there!

I only go slightly over my 25 pound with picture messages and internet.

I'm £30 each month on 3 mobile, for that I get:
    • 300 anytime x-network mins
    • 50 video call mins
    • 1000 texts
    • £5 worth of downloads
I never go over the £30 so I'm pretty happy with that.

tell vodafone you're thinking of changing to pay as you go, then they'll match your current deal, give you a new phone, and might even give you 9 months half price line rental! worked for me this morning :-)

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
