Had Riverford delivery today, all very nice and fresh. Wish deliveries were always on a weekend, would be a lot easier.

Nice looking (GF I think) 'chocolate beetroot slump cake' featured in the January Waitrose Kitchen mag.

From this new book which is wheat/dairy/sugar free:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Extra-Virgin-Kitchen-Susan-White/dp/0717159337/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388941675&sr=8-1&keywords=extra+virgin+kitchen

*must stop looking at cookery books*

The Waitrose Kitchen mag is now free via an app if you have a MyWaitrose card. I prefer the paper copy as I keep a lot of the recipes though.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the organic boxes from Ocado as I'd be interested in firsthand experience of quality, quantity, substitutions etc as well as the comments already available on the Ocado website.

One problem I've had with Riverford is unexpected substitutions and although we will eat or at least try most fruit and veg, I seem to have been unfortunate in the past in being substituted with items we really don't like. Not good if I am paying for them! At least with A&C you can list your dislikes.

Happy New Year to all !

Kirri I got my Riverford order yesterday too. My normal day is Friday and I think that means I get tail end of veg often :(

Like this one for bathroom blinds the problem would be finding someone to make them ! http://www.ochreandocre.com/detail.php?ProdID=348

alfsmum I have had the Ocado small organic veg boxes several times as I get 10% off with Smart Pass. Compared to Abel & Cole, I'm impressed - box always crammed to the gills with fresh veg of high quality. Whenever I get a box, it's the Ocado one.

I have had one of the Ocado veg/salad boxes, the £17 ish one (but look at the chart on MySupermarket and you'll see it gets reduced roughly every 2 months iirc so might be worth waiting to try it the first time) - I did a review on here (and poss a photo?) but god knows where it is, I'll have a look on Excel, see what month I ordered it in, guess 9 months ish ago. I thought it was really good but at the time of ordering the reviews were mostly bad on Ocado.

They also have the Wholegood branded boxes now, anyone tried them?

I've not had boxes recently, with my food restrictions and the pets requirements being fairly specific I've had to order just specific items but on A&C that is getting a bit unaffordable (whereas their boxes still seem good value) - have you seen the price of their broccoli, it's gone up again! Think it's now £2.90 for 1 head!

Also has the Riverford small fruit bag disappeared from yours Edwardia? I've never thought about the Friday deliveries, I wonder how often they pick/get deliveries though saying that? Really pleased with everything I had this week though and I had lettuce which is hard to keep fresh.
