Organic food in supermarkets

Miroslav if you can buy the organic Weetabix from ASDA you will save 41p on the Tesco, Ocado and Waitrose price - Sainsbury's is next cheapest at 2.99. At Sainsbury's, I've found gluten free organic stuff in the free from section, which might help you - look out for Doves Farm (also seen them on Ocado). Also, have you tried spelt ?
Too late - I bought it from Tesco, but do have 84p to spend on my next shop, so hopefully they took it into account with the price match. Asda is too far from me although if I get a big enough shop I can get a home delivery.
Tesco, Morrisons, Iceland and Farm Foods are my 'locals'.
I will look at Sainsbury who do deliver to us. Ocado - no idea where our nearest is.
I've not tried spelt. Heard it tasted nutty? Here is the dirty dozen list, and also the cleanest dozen list.

What do people think of the tea from Teapigs?
First off, since we live in a town without a farmer's market and only one non-organic butcher, we're reliant on supermarkets and Abel & Cole for meat, poultry and game as Riverford makes you do a minimum order for meat of £25.
I'm totally unimpressed with organic British beef steaks of any cut, from Tesco and Sainsbury's, I stick with Duchy Originals.
The mince, be it beef or lamb can be gristly from Sainsbury's occasionally and Tesco quite often and I find the lamb tastier than the beef.
My local Sainsbury's doesn't seem to stock organic pork other than bacon and sausages - both of these are excellent though. (Duchy Originals bacon also great). Duchy Originals pork meatballs are rather good.
Buffalo mince from Laverstoke Park is really good, burgers less so.
Sainsbury's lamb is often so tough (though tasty) that I buy NZ lamb now (from Lidl actually) which is grass-pastured, GM free, tender and full of flavour.
The Black Farmer chicken is good, Daylesford and Duchy Originals great. Tesco zzzz, Sainsbury's OK but not impressive.
We're coming to the close of BBQ season now, but we've been equally happy with organic beef burgers from Sainsbury's, Duchy Originals (from Waitrose and Ocado) and Abel & Cole but we thought Laverstoke Park ones a bit too dense and brick like.
Game is becoming easier to find in supermarkets. We love Hampshire Game venison (Abel & Cole, Ocado). Waitrose and ASDA sell own brand venison burgers (both are good) and Morrisons sells Highland Game products eg venison meatballs.
Some of this will be farmed venison so reading labels will be useful. Venison is imported from NZ too now and that will be GM free. Abel & Cole sells wild venison mince 50g for 5.75 and if you're wanting and ultra deluxe lasagne, this is the stuff.
Don't know Teapigs, we have Sainsbury's SO organic and Clipper organic.0 -

I like them, but they are expensive. I really like the peppermint, jasmine, earl grey, chai and the spiced winter tea.0 -
Just entered this comp, interesting new delivery service for organic muesli by Yoosli.

Regarding organic baked beans: after taste testing, I've decided that Waitrose own brand are the best. That is all!''He who takes no offence at anyone either on account of their faults, or on account of his own suspicious thoughts, has knowledge of God and of things devine.''0

Had Farmaround delivery - mainly stocking up on the cruelty free eggs/dairy but I also had a mini fruit bag as the sizing suits me - 5 items in small amounts for £6.99. This week I got:
Galia melon x 1
Royal Gala apples x 4
Bananas x 3
Golden plums x 2
Guyot pears x 3
They also have pasta for £1.08 which seems a good price.
Ah see the spam has gone from the thread :T0 -

No unfortunately they are just rescue hens
best option I will get as a veggie who has yet to give them up..0 -
Unrepentant egg lover here.. I was a lacto-ovo-vegetarian ie included dairy and eggs, for 11 years. My favourite veggie recipes came from The Cranks Cook Book and Rose Elliot but I never did like lentils much
Just done Riverford and Abel & Cole orders.. A&C has organic mature Cheddar on offer as well as organic beefburgers.0 -

OH has tried Heinz, Waitrose and Sainsbury's organic baked beans and has a slight preference for Heinz. I would prefer Sainsbos as less sweet but they are teeny beans.
What about organic ice cream ?0
