Having hunted for a long time to find good bacon and sausages it's Riverford that have bought us to the end of our search :j

We have now tried both their chipolatas and sausages and they are meaty, but not to dry and not too heavily seasoned. Last night we had them with mash and broccoli, but they also make a good butty or go nicely in oh's hm rolls.

I prefer the smoked back bacon, but also like the unsmoked as does the oh. The bacon bits are far better and chunkier than A&C so will be keeping a supply in the freezer. Great value and so many uses.

Have added gammon steaks to my milk and eggs order from A&C for next week so will report once eaten

Edwardia did you post on this thread about your experience with Farmaround?

I have had a horrible experience with my delivery from Ethical superstore, on opening the box I saw packages that looked like they had been slashed and the contents (tiny tiny grains) all over the box, and stuck to the bubblewrap other items were wrapped in, hence the need to vacuum a lot, i had to vacuum the entire box so i could then recycle it, more grains went everywhere when i was tearing the box up. How could they not have realised when they packed the box?

That's not good I would photograph the damaged packaging and email Ethical Superstore, they surely must have notice it as packed ???
At the very least you'll be wanting a partial refund on the damaged stuff because you've lost some with spillage.

I always advocate moaning if not happy and telling suppliers when you are happy

rufydoofyM I get Abel & Cole both milk and eggs and lurve them. I haven't tried Riverford meat yet so thanks for the recommendations

Talking of moaning, I had to contact Riverford yesterday about a substandard veg box (mouldy, squishy veg) and they got back to me today with an apology and offer of complimentary items on my next order. Said they appreciated the feedback so that they can pass in on.

For Ocado shoppers, there are a few Mr Organic offers at the moment, tins at 66p instated of 99p. Includes baked beans, chickpeas, mixed beans.

Not happy.

Planet Organic order gone astray. Parcelforce say they delivered it, but it never arrived and we were in all day. the signature on the 'proof' is not ours. I have asked Planet Organic to help me look into this. Waiting for reply.

Whereas my ASDA list was all about saving money, Tesco's organic stuff is generally more expensive when not on offer.

So the things to look at with Tesco are the new products and things which may be cheaper compared to Riverford and Abel & Cole and not easily available elsewhere.

That is a great response from Riverford.

The reply from ethical superstore was very poor. 1kg of grains in the box everywhere, still haven't been able to vacuum it all up as tiny grains get everywhere.

I don't tend to say if an order is really great, I shall start doing that.
