MINIDOS.SYS
So is that it done. Do I now put this in the broken acer and power it up?
You need to follow the instructions that I have written for you. One of those was to replace the BIOS.WPH with the one I have provided for you within the folder.
Then go to the instruction on how to run the recovery that are one the JPEG link.
Good luck0 -

In the package was a bios.wph. So do I replace the bios.wph on the stick with the one in the package. Then plug the stick into the acer?
OK, Thanks for your help will do as instructed and let you know what happens.
Just seen the package says including bios Acer5525. Is this a typo and should it have bee 5535 as this is the acer that I have?main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0 -

Have put the stick in the acer and powered up with fn and esc pressed. The stick is lit and the power light is on, but no other sign of any progress. Noiseless and black screen.main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0

hi. it seems to have failed.
But from your instructions I am unsure if I have done this correct.
It says run wincris, which I did and it created three files on the stick. Now the instructions says
3.)Remove your stick and reconnect, copy in the stick the "MINIDOS.SYS"-"PHLASH16.EXE"
and finally your bios with name: bios.wph.
Now does this mean replace all three files on the stick with files that were in the package? I only replaced the bios.wph filemain stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0 -
Will upload some more versions of Phlash that you can try with your USB drive.
Which drive is it?
Have to sign out, as I'm in demand elsewhere.
Try another USB port, a different version of Phlash...
I'll look in another tomorrow.0 -

The BIOS.WPH is on the Crisis Disk
Anyway, you need to create a Bootable USB drive(do you know how to do this?)
I've put together a package for you with instructions. You can download it from here
Once you have created the Recovery Drive, follow the instructions here: http://s9.postimage.org/pbwd86kmn/Capture.jpg
Not sure if I understand this create a bootable drive as the files created from wincris are all replaced by files from the package.main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0 -

Wincris should have created a Bootable USB drive. Did you follow the instruction within the folder?0 -

Hi, wincris did create a usb with three files on it. But instruction 3 said Remove your stick and reconnect, copy in the stick the "MINIDOS.SYS"-"PHLASH16.EXE"
and finally your bios with name: bios.wph.
Now does this mean copy from the package all three files, in which case allthree file created by wincris get replaced, or is it delete the bios.wph on the stick and copy the one in the package across, or is it copy the package bios.wph across thus being asked to replace the created bios.wph?
Have dismantled the acer again , reseating the cpu, ran for 15min with nothing connected, reassembled and allowed to cool, and still nothing.main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0 -
What USB drive? Brand and capacity?
Did you format?
Did you run WinCris twice as in the instructions?
Did you try the different versions of Phlash that I uploaded?0
