Hate to say it guys, but this invoice is from May 2012, the suspension is from circa September I believe so this is before then. I'm just waiting for the first of the banned ones to break the suspension or get RK retrospectively once the ban is lifted.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Hi, that sounds exactly like when i got one from cp plus year ago. First i knew was a letter from parking collections ltd demanding £120. And to be honest i phoned saying i would pay £30 cos i didnt want to go court etc. I said i wanted to appeal. I got a letter back saying appeal rejected! i didnt even get the chance to say send me a copy of the ticket as there was never one on my car and that i had a parking permit that i pay for anually.
Found the site and listened to the above people. They advised all the way through right till the end chain letters.

Happy days now as i help peopl around me now :j
The word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.

The OP says that the 'offence' was in May. He/She says that they have received a letter through the post. It might be a recently received letter. It reads that way to me, why wait until October to post on a forum about a letter you've received in May?

    There are three scenarios;

    1. VP obtained the OPs details in May (or soon after) and sat on them until now.

    2. They've trawled back through old tickets, and applied to the DVLA recently (possibly using a third party) and just sent the letter.

    3. The OP really did receive the letter ages ago.

If it's 2, then VP are in big trouble.

I have not received any previous letters, except this so called final one

I may have used the car park, I may or may not have used car park owners premises/stores I cannot remember!

Do they really have a leg to stand on and take me to court?

What should my next steps be?

I forgot to add, surely if they say I have committed an offence the parking ticket should have been applied to my windscreen? No such thing has happend

    Thanks to all

Just ignore them and play snap with the letters that match the 3rd thread on this parking forum: 'PPC letter chains'.

Stop thinking it's a real parking ticket with regs about attaching it to your windscreen. Would you wonder if a phishing emailer was following regulations? Nope you'd ignore the communications. Same scam here, only with junk mail.

Of course there is no offence and there will be no Court.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

keep calm and carry on ignoring them. here is my first time of how i dealt with the ppc. if thee read the thread you shall see how i went from worried to smiles.
If you read it you will see into the future lol, notice that the people that posted on my thread are the same ones posting on yours and strangely they are repeating their advice but this time for you.
my thx to them is that i am now able to help others with the same pest infestation and help save them money (several times now)

Of course they have a leg to stand on. All they have to do is request court papers and fill them in, what can be easier?

Taking you to court is one thing, defeating you is another. To "take one to court" is not "to press charges", it is not before magistrates and there is no prosecutor digging into you. It is a dispute at the County Court between the claimaint (the landowner) and the defendant (you).

All they have to do is explain how they know you drove and how their demand reflects losses to the company from your alleged action, moreover that the figure sought is not punitive and then they will win.

Can you see that happening? Neither can they... that's why they won't try. You wiuld win easily.
