I've set up the ssid on the router0 -
you need to setup an encryption key on the wireless security screen, changing the ssid doesn't make it secure (it just stops people knowing who you are, and what make of router you have).Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

sorry I'm not trying to secure the network I'm trying to access the router0 -
if the ssid is being broadcast (a router setting), then your daughters PC should be able to see it when she scans for wireless networks.
If it isn't encrypted, then you ought to consider it.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

The ssid is being broadcast because I'm using the network at the moment on the wifes laptop. I can't see the router from my daughters pc though.0 -
