OK guys I apologise because I can't find the answer in the wireless sticky.
I've got a linksys router on my main pc and a linksys wireless point on my daughters pc. It was working fine before I messed about setting up a wireless connection for a laptop.
Current situation is my pc connects to the internet via webstar(virginmedia) and router. Laptop connects via unsecured(I know thats bad) wireless connection. Daughters connects to nowt. She wants to get on that itunes rubbish so I said I'd see if anyone can help.
Cheers.

There is a setup disk that comes with the router, if you run it, it prompts for an encryption key, or goto 192.168.1.1 and put one in, then tell the other PC what it is.
wpa-psk/tkip is better than wep.

Still hasn't sunk in for me, I'm still not 100% sure what the actual question is."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

However surely the answer is, read the user manual and follow the set-up instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Why don't people read instruction manuals :doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
