Interview tomorrow for one job, this is pretty decent pay and career structure time. We'll see how it goes, Fingers crossed.
I got shortlisted for a temp Admin post, as well, which is 3 months ish Total pest though it asks me to bring along my rsa stage 2 text and word processing certificates to interview on 30th! This would be me on about £1200 a month. So could get test sorted and lot of debts etc dealt with pretty quick. I'd be finishing as the estate agent folks asked me to get back to them so could work out nicely.
The must be keen as they sent out references before the interview. As far as certs go I'll need to apply for new ones at £37! but I only got letter on 22nd!
So there is no way im getting them back before the interview. I'm going to speak to their HR tomorrow.0 -
Oh electric paid today, £70 for quarter.
Still have oil to pay but that can wait til next month, bike hasn't sold with snow.0 -

Did the interview yesterday, see how it goes. You never know who else is in for these things. The job would be such a difference, something like £700-800 extra a month.
Tried to call round to the HR folks but it was shut by the time I got there, will go today.0 -
stress building today. Electric bill arrived there, so got it out of the way. £72 for the quarter. Doesent sound loads, but when your living on £125 a fortnight that leaves me with about £35 for the next 9 days.
Have to pay rent around the 30th. £200 and thats me just about through jan.
I'll have to come up with something pretty interesting for feb!
Then TV licence of £37.50 on 1st feb.
Oil - £100
Credit cards 36.10 + 16.10
and somehow live and eat in the middle! gah. I hope I get one of these jobs, I cant hack being this skint all the time!0 -
I haven't read all of your pages Smithfield just the first and the last, and I think you're a real star for keeping your head above water and most of the time managing to keep your chin up. I just wanted to say keep on swimming and you'll be out of the worst of it soon, a job will turn up as you're working hard and still applying for lots, and once you've got the job sorted you can pay off the debt and re-focus on driving. Keep your 3 year plan in mind and if it becomes a 5 year plan, so be it, just keep the long term end goal in mind.
I really hope one of the jobs comes through for you soon, let us know when you hear. Thinking of you!

I just wanted to say that I sympathise totally about the driving, I have never found anything as challenging as learning and getting through my test. I gave up several times and eventually resorted to driving a simpler automatic car and listening to Paul Mckenna self hypnosis tracks on youtube, I was sceptical but I am convinced that they helped me overcome the panic and believe that I could do it. I passed at the grand old age of 31! If I can do it (nervous wreck that I was on my first test) then so can you, best of luck, I will be rooting for you x'Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses' - Confucious0

Thanks for taking the time to write Kansa Kitty and Northern Lassy, I appreciate the good wishes. I'll get there with the driving, just need a bit of luck.
So just applied for a Legal Admin post there, £6.21 an hour! Shocking, a whopping 2p over minimum wage, but if it gets me up enough cash to be back at the driving, pay bills and still eat then I'm still moving forward faster than I would be on the brew. That is still a disgraceful salary for the level of experience they are asking. Sign of the times.
Interview tomorrow for a short term temp admin post as well, see how it goes.
Bit better paid, but total mindless rubbish, but its a wage and as above its better than dole.
Rent tomorrow as well. It keeps a roof over my head so I'll start there first.0
