Still no news!! One of the headlights in my car has gone so I'll be replacing that tomorrow.Original MF Date = July 2034Current MF Date = July 2025

Well it's payday!! So I'm now over 50% of my masters fund :j
Still no news on the job but I really hope I find out today.Original MF Date = July 2034Current MF Date = July 2025

Still no news and I was supposed to find out on Friday
If they knew it was going to be late then ring me and tell me so I'm not worrying about it. It's just rude!Original MF Date = July 2034Current MF Date = July 2025

Try not to take it personally - they'll either be swamped with other things or just lazy beggars! Before you think I'm just trotting out the trite phrases, I probably *would* take it personally and it almost always turns out to be the wrong response to a situation :rotfl:0 -
Well I didn't get the job
but apparently I was a close second. I'll get more feedback tomorrow as they were busy when I rang (my friend rang them who also applied and told me I should).
Inspired by Tilly I've started the couch to 5k programme and so far I'm managing to keep up. I hope I can keep myself motivated although being told I need to lose between 3,5 and 4 stone to pass my diving medical is some what of a motivation especially if I do it in 6 months I won't need all of it again so it'll be cheaper!Original MF Date = July 2034Current MF Date = July 2025

Sorry to hear that, but do pester them for specific feedback. I once got a job that I was second choice for because I asked for feedback after my rejection letter. The job turned out to be terrible, but that's another story...0

Hi LittleFred, sorry to hear you didn't get the job, but great news that you were a close second. Hopefully if another role comes along you may be top of the list
Good luck with the walky jog/ running

Well week 2 completed of the walky/jog thing and have listened to week 3 but I'm not sure I'll cope! I have a requested phone call from the interviewer this morning and she said there was nothing I could have improved on in my interview it was purely due to the fact that the guy who got it had a masters and 20years experience. I would have had to start work at 7 after my 4years of uni to have been able to compete!!
Well I'm currently sat at uni procrastinating about my essay due next week whilst also waiting for the train home. Only an hour and a half to goOriginal MF Date = July 2034Current MF Date = July 2025

Not much you could have done about that - the most experienced candidate got it. I've been in a similar situation myself (bags of enthusiasm and local knowledge for a job but someone with 15 years experience and no local knowledge looked like a safer pair of hands).
It'll be you one day and some other young whippersnapper will be on MFW 2050 moaning about you
Chin up, sure you'll get the next one!0
