Phone storage problem
Hi Can anyone tell me how i can free storage space on my T Moblie smartfone. When i check storage it says 1.81gb and 1.65 free. The internal storage says 1.56mb used and 6.0mb free. I keep getting notifications that phone space is getting low when certain apps are trying to automatically update. I ve moved the ones that i can to the sd card that came with the phone but the rest dont give me the option to. I have things on there that i wish to delete eg facebook but i cant find an option to do that. Do i need an extra sd card with more memory or am i doing something wrong ? Thank you

Are you sure that your internal memory is (1.56 + 6.0)MB in size? That seems awfully low for any type of phone and you will probably always get a memory warning message if it is the case.0

It may help if you give us details of your phone make/model.0

I have a samsung ace and this is a persistent problem. You can't delete the preinstalled apps and it leaves little room for anything else.
I have installed app2sd which helps organise the apps, and using its facility I regularly uninstall the updates for the apps on the internal memory that I am not using. If anyone knows how to disable them altogether, I'd really love to know!I'm a retired employment solicitor. I wonder if your internal memory is getting clogged up with photos and video, in your camera app look in the settings to see where its saving photos. Point it away from internal to external/SD whatever..
Then you would need to delete/unload to PC/move to SD your existing photos out of internal memory to free it up again.
Maybe nothing to do with it but just a thought to check.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
I have a galaxy ace and I'm always running out of space too - or I was until 2 days ago. I've "rooted" my phone, and then used an app to delete the pre-installed apps that were previous greyed out for uninstalling. This has freed up space on the internal phone memory. I'm away from home at the moment but if you want to PM me your email address I'll send you the links and whatnot when I'm back with my laptop.
Hope this helps - it worked a treat for me.0 -

Oh lol that sounds quite complicated. I do have a few texts with pics attached so maybe i need to delete them or move to the sd card if thats possible. Do you know if it is ? Thanks0 -
