Jacket sounds nice!
Glad you finally got one ok!!unixgirluk wrote: »How savvy is your OH's when it comes to savings?
OH is very good with money. Never had debt (other than mortgage) and will only ever pay cash up front for anything and everything he buys. Not a bad thing!
But when it comes to banks he's very lazy. He's only leaving Santander now coz of their shocking bad customer service (complaints currently with FOS!) and going to Nationwide coz it was quick and handy. Good % on current account which is good. But he's too lazy to join First Direct for the £100?? Men!
Weather still really hot here but mizzling with rain a bit. Good for the garden

Morning All, we're half way through the week. Its OH's birthday this weekend and I wish he'd hurry up and decide if he's going out with his nephew on friday or not so I can arrange to meet one of my friends. His birthday is sunday but we're going out for a meal on saturday.
Today should be good its one of my colleagues 50th birthday. We've got her a real present (champagne and a gift voucher) but we've also got her a kid on present a hamper of slippers, corn plasters, werthers sweets, reading glasses, lily of the valley, rose toilet roll, sanatogen, curlers, horlicks and lots of other stuff. All wrapped up nicely in a basket by me.
Tea last night? OH and I were naughty, we got a McDonalds on the way home. Must cook tonight.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Our dinner last night turned out a disaster. Had bought reduced noodles and reduced stir fry pack 2 days ago, but both dated yesterday. Half way through eating OH points out the noodles looking a bit odd. Scrapped the rest of the dinner and got a pizza (reduced!!) from Asda. Bread in the house has gone mouldy (so have to check my lunch before I eat it
) Darn this heat!! :rotfl:
Enjoy today
Hamper sound cool!! Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

She has. I think the fact it was wrapped up so nicely, some of the stuff she said she would use (plasters, vitamins, etc) and the slippers we put in were actually quite funky. Though she said she'd pass on the Lily of the Valley! She said she wouldn't use the reading glasses but would donate them to charity, but was keeping the hamper intact until her family got to see it.
Its also sparked a few people asking if I would make hampers for them for various events!

Hello All (nearly said morning then saw the time), how is everyone? I think the plan this weekend will be to have a bit of a clear out of stuff, or at least get stuff into black bags ready to take to clothes recycling place as I cannot get anything into my wardrobe/drawers etc. I've hung onto stuff thats about 2 sizes smaller than I am now (and from about 7-8 years ago), am I deluding myself should I just ditch the stuff?
Pretty tired today, OH was starting early again but he's just texted to say thats him finished. So it means I can head straight home from my work.
Meeting up with a friend tomorrow night, will be good to see her as I think last time I saw her was about 6 months ago!
