If you're losing weight, then stick at it. Tummy always the last thing to go unfortunately! Are you doing any/much exercise too?

Ah tell him to wind his neck in and man up!!!! :D

Hello All, well I've had a week off on holiday with my Mum and then straight back to work (being off means no pay at the end of this week). Got public holiday this month too which means yet another day with no pay. But I have some funds put aside. Bought a lot on holiday (work clothes, normal clothes, shoes, boots, stuff for birthdays and christmas). It would have cost me a lot more up here in Scotland.

OH has work and although he doesn't like it (I really don't care as who does like their job/pay/hours all the time?) its a job and its money. Seeing the difference with the 0% I managed to get. Must check what difference it makes to my DFD. I've also opened a savings account (already have an ISA) and this is for car insurance/tax etc, so far its only got £20 in it but decided that any pennies I get through Quidco etc will go in there.

Now that I have lots of new clothes I need to clear the old stuff out, most is not worth putting on ebay so I'll bag it up and take it to the cash for clothes place.

    How is everyone?

Holidays/days off are great :) However the lack of money is not! :p Hopefully you're able to keep spending to a minimum this month. It's good that you were able to get a lot bought while you were away.

Yes, tell OH to put up and shut up as we say ;) There are very few people who do actually like their work! He's gotta be grateful!

Yay to the 0% making a difference. Let us know what your new DFD will be please :D Any savings, however small, always helps take the shock off when you get a bill!!

I've never actually sold clothes on ebay so can't help there! Have bought a few bits but it's never really worked out for me. Always a possibility to bundle a few bits together and sell that way, rather than listing each item separately. Although sometimes for all you get it's hardly worth the hassle. Cash for clothes is just as handy!!

All ok with me. Just looking forward to getting off for a bit next week. Seem to be tired all the time :o

How is everyone tonight? I worked out that the 0% knocks 8 months off my DFD!!!!! :T .....so hopefully now I can keep it going (i.e steady work).

Had a flyer through the door for a new preloved/vintage shop opening asking to buy stuff. I'll leave it for now but might be worth a try once I do a bit more digging!

Since they haven't opened their vintage shop yet I might email them and see where they're setting up/likely prices etc before parting with anything as not keen on them coming to the house.

I got a few of those little refillable perfume vials in blackpool. They use the spray to refill them rather than the old type that your poured in. Wishing now I got more as they were a £1 each.

OH and I were going to go to the cinema last night (as he's off) but decided against it as I was working today. Going tomorrow instead and going for a meal too, making it a date. Is that sad?

Nothing back yet from the PPI. How long do they normally take? Not getting my hopes up over how much (as I don't have a clue) but it'll be getting added to the savings. You might think this is mad but when temping its a life-saver!

Started this years gift spreadsheet early and tracking what I've bought for who and if its birthday or xmas and the cost. Seen some good freebies recently so sending off for them and will add that to the present stash. (I always buy some Christmas/Birthday stuff in Blackpool). Planning on giving some people homemade marmalade as part of their gift, if it were you would you like this? Or would you think it strange? ...... I worry!

    Thanks LT, how are you?

This weekend I think I'll have a bit of a clear out, lots in the wardrobe I don't wear or can't get into. Off to cinema with OH and a meal. Yes we could have gone on wed (2 for 1) but would have been too late a night with me up for work early so this way I get to enjoy it.
