Ok, some good news OH has a few days work. The down side he starts at 6am! Now I can drop him off on my way to work but I don't start till 7:45 and its only 25 mins between where I need to drop him off and where I need to be. So I think I'll be stopping off at McD's which is near my work and having breakfast there (not cost effective, but I do have some free coffee vouchers for there) and reading a book and using their wifi. Unfortunately as I'm a temp I can't go in any earlier (our building only opens at 7:30) and can't leave any earlier than I do. I can't see the point in dropping OH and going home again as its a complete waste of fuel just to leave again 20 minutes later.

I haven't heard yet whether my contract will be renewed, I really hope it will. I'm really enjoying the job. I have the long weekend off, but don't get paid for being off which is the only down side :(.

I decided to be frugal and make easter eggs this year for SS and OH (I also gave mini ones to my Gran). SS 'assumed' both were for him, and then realised him trying to be funny was just annoying me. So OH and I came back from my Gran's to a box of Roses and Ferrero Rocher....... and I have promptly polished off 7 ferrero rocher!!!!! I now feel stuffed and we still have a YS cheesecake in the fridge (Can I freeze it?).

I am planning to start walking again try to shift some of my weight. The snow/sleet/rain has made walking around here impossible (sliding about allover the place and nearly went over on my ankle).

Tomorrow I'm off and plan to make some marmalade (2nd attempt) as I have loads of tangerines to use, so I tried to get some Certo from the supermarket and Mr M don't do it anymore, just Tate & Lyle Pectin sachets so fingers crossed it turns out!!!!!

Ok, I didn't get around to making my marmalade today but I did get a few loads of washing done and out on the line (a first for this year), the car washed (it was so filthy I was in danger of not being able to see my side mirrors), packed lunches made and clothes ironed for tomorrow. SS is off sick from his work tonight, supposedly his hernia is playing up but both OH and I think he's at it and is in danger of losing his job (as he'll be off sick but still going out or to the gym).

Ok, you might wonder why I'm up at this time but I dropped OH off a little while ago at work. I'm sat in mcd's having just had an overpriced breakfast and am currently sipping a coffee (takes me an age to drink a coffee) and passing some time reading the news and chatting to you guys before getting on the road at 7 to go to work. As I'm a temp I have set hours and my office building doesn't open till 7:30. Hoping I hear soon if they are extending my contract (which would be great). So keep your fingers crossed please!

My back is really sore this morning, not sure what I've done but I can barely move. The long weekend was lovely but since I don't get paid if I don't work it means my wages will be lower this week and next, that after I ended up snowed in the other week has meant 4 days wage last week as well.

I can't believe how busy the motorway is even at this time of the morning!

Wibbles in, wow congrats Uni. So glad you got some work, and I hope they extend it.

Ref your OH, seems to me if you ever had a baby, you would end up looking after two children not one. Tell OH to grow a pair, and do it himself.......

My agency have emailed my boss and asked if I'm getting renewed, no answer as yet. I submitted a report for review by 4 managers and I got a resounding ....nice job.... back, so hopefully that means the answer will be good news!

In Mcd's again this morning. Realised I have more money left this week after paying bills than I thought I would :j.
OH wont get paid till next week but its at least 2 days wages, not sure yet if he's working tomorrow. Pretty chuffed I have some money left, plan to pull all my old clothes together and take them to clothes recycling place, I might only get £20 but I can put it to debt. I'll also need to sort my totals but I'll do that this weekend.

Tea tonight? Might be an omelette, something quick, easy and cheap. Tired this morning, coffee not quite kicked in yet!

How is everyone? Anyone been watching that new sewing programme? I still have a pattern and material I bought last year and not done anything with it. Might at least start it this weekend.

I hope your OH gets more days to work (and that your contract gets renewed!)

Yes to watching The Great British Sewing Bee, it makes me want to get my sewing machine out (the problem is no space to cut our material, or indeed have the machine set up!)

How is everyone tonight? There's nothing on tv, loads of channels to pick from and nothing to watch. OH and I went to nearest town today to get some shopping, I wanted new summer shoes. I tried various shops before we ended up in M&S. Tried on a lovely pair, but they were £50!. So I left it and I bought a pair in Sainsbugs. Now they used to be really good for their shoes. They had the nice stuff which was last years stock (I know this as my friend went to great lengths to get a certain pair of their shoes), and then this years stuff which was poorly made. I picked a pair for £20 (the pair similar to what I'd seen in M&S were poorly glued together) that I thought would do. I barely got them out to the car and OH says to me "you're not happy with them are you"? and no I wasn't, so took them back (that was fun considering I'd just bought them!). So we went back to M&S and I went in. Got the shoes and went to pay. The cashier refused to sell me them as they weren't a pair! She then explained one shoe was nude, the other nude-brown and although were the same style and looked the exactly same colour she couldn't sell me them, she then went on to say the nude ones were in the sale!!!! So I went back grabbed the other sale one and went back to the till. She didn't have to tell me or could have said about the other ones which were still £50, so she rang them up and said "that'll be £19 please". I could have hugged her, I was so pleased I got the exact shoes I wanted.

Moneywise I've put the money I had left over into my savings. Off to Mum and Dad's tomorrow, looking forward to seeing all their dogs.
