His brush offs do tend to be on the arrogant side, but I suspect it's his staff doing it and he has no knowledge of this at all. The more people who complain to the retailers and service providers the better IMO , don't understand people once they have looked on the net even considering wasting energy on the parking companies. I know keeper liability is here but a simple I deny this alleged debt is owed is all that is needed now.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Asda head office staff have no clue regarding parking matters. It took three emails from me to get them to admit that a couple of car parks I complained about were nothing to do with the council but were owned by Asda. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

You have to remember some people are still scared. My old grandparents would pay twice if they were told to!
In addition to this I know many people that will just pay and some feel that it's only "moral" to pay.
Being honest I am glad it's here because I like a space when I go shopping, and if everyone were to be let loose - god I'd have to do all my shopping online :-)0 -
ROFL the picture shows your car on a tow truck?
If that is true it is hilarious!
Also just completely ignore it!0 -
Ignore for a little bit, then when the threats start to arrive then take action against the local ASDA, tell the local ASDA that unless their agents cease sending you threats you will consider taking action against them ( the local ASDA) for harrasment ( as they are respnsable for the actions of their contractor) , also tell them that you are extremly unhappy with the way that you have been treated by staff acting on behalf of the local ASDA, and you will be sending an open complaint letter to the local press and media to further highlight this.
You should also mention that the local ASDA branch is responsable for the actions of their agents, and staff ( ie the parking company) the charges are not legaly enforcable as they are punitiave. and you should expect the local ASDA branch to re-fund anyone who has been worngfully charged in the car park.
you could try a complaint to the CEO, but from what ive read on here that just gets shoved under the carpet, and people who complain up high just get fobbed off. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Not personally no, but I've read enough accounts of the brush-off people get when they complain to him about his parking Nazis.
Definitely the underlings doing the replies. I can confirm that most, if not all, of those who work in the relevant department haven't a Scooby on the subject...and I include Trading Law in that.
As for the man himself, always comes across as a pretty decent sort of chap when I've met him and he does NOT appreciate managers abusing their position to take it out on 'the little guy'.0 -

I have to say: this example is truly hysterical and something I've never heard of before.
other responses have told the OP not to pay. I do the same.
absolutely ridiculous.0 -

absolutely ridiculous.
But as the OP does not appear to have contacted Asda yet, how has anyone there waved anything through?0
