Thanks for the support guys, no news still Monday hopefully....any news on your santander/abbey application.
I do have a friend high up in santander, who told me its unlikly a application will fail if its been automated. He said it would have been declined first hand. He also said ocationally adverse does get put through. So we will see.
  • They said my partners payslip was too light it is very light so can understand them asking for another copy my fa has also posted a copy to them. I'm hoping for news this week fingers crossed for both of us .

good luck!!!...the wait is driving me crazy.
  • I've found Halifax really good! We had a full offer in 10days and then when the sale fell through we had to find somewhere else. Again they were really great and our advisor was very helpful. It took 2 weeks or so off the next offer but that was because the property was down valued at survey. Fingers crossed you won't have to wait too much longer.
  • Any news? We have not had any yet : (

still no news, he's tried to get application speeded up. Abbey webpage is saying roughly a 9 day turn around. 3.9 days till survey agreed/rejected. So that should mean info today!!.....but not counting on it!

As of yesterday this is what I know, the mortgage app passed the hard credit check, (automated approval) leading to a DIP. They asked for wage slips etc - which were sent Friday. The information is on underwriters desk to cross check. There is a case on the forum with a lady who got approved with a bit of adverse with Santander. So who knows, if automated the credit score any issues probably would flag then. I just hope brokers information did'nt have any mistakes!!
  • Update - Abbey initially referred application on affordability. MA questioned that, Abbey admitted making a admin error, they processed a loan twice for some reason, doubling my outgoings. Taking that into account affordability isn't a problem. Abbey have put it back in the que for today with the same underwriter. So fingers crossed that will be ok....but who knows!!

Frustrated isn't the word, abbey make a mistake...and I have to wait another 24 hours for a decision!!...especially with the people we are buying from breathing down our neck.
  • Hope things go well for you keep me updated
