Possibly because (a) this is a MONEY SAVING website (hadn't you noticed?) and (b) because Chinese tablets represent truly excellent value for money - but to get the BEST value, you'll probably have to do your own importing (which isn't difficult; just slightly dauinting the first time you do it) There are a LOT Of good Chinese tablet makers; I settled on Ainol when I bought my second one, and it was good enough that I bought a third.one. Could just as easily have been Onda, or Newsmy, or one of many other makes - all of 'em good, and all of 'em fantastic value.

I'm slightly surprised that encouraging people to get better value for money than they might otherwise have done is frowmed upon by membes of the forum. One would think that pointing people towards where prices are lowest and value is highest would generate plaudits, rather than ill-directed sarcasm.
