I want a tablet,but which one?

I was going to treat myself to a kindle because my sister has one and is never off it but she said that she now wished she got a tablet because you can use it as an e-reader plus a million other things as well so here's my problem...I'm blonde.
Any advice greatfully received, budget of around £100.
TIA.

Can recommend this one - http://www.ebuyer.com/386278-sumvision-astro-7-tablet-pc-astro-7

Has loads of apps available for Facebook, twitter etc plus Kindle (the apps are easy to download from Google Play and other app stores, many of them are free). I will say though that the special 'e-ink' screens on the 'proper' Kindles are better for reading in sunlight. But for about the same price, a tablet will do loads more.

May be of some help. It is £149 but a real bargain if it gets honored.

Maybe a Kindle Fire HD or Google Nexus 7 if you want a 7" tablet? Both similar.
But £100 will not be enough.

Wait a bit if you can. Currently the £100 and under tablets are a bit lacking.

I looked at the Fire & Fire HD, Limited storage put that idea straight in the bin.

Android tablet it will be.. But only when they have dual cores 1200mhz+ and decent onboard RAM and storage and for less than £100.

Seen cheapo £60 tablets. They struggle with angry birds... Jerky screens.

32GB on the (more expensive) Fire HD?
It does run Android under the Kindle interface, but not sure which version.
I doubt they'll get to below £100, they are already heavily subsidised.

If you are going to use it mainly to read on, get an e-reader, the screens are different to other tablets and they are much better for reading on.

Googles Nexus 7 gets good write ups, there could be a 32GB version and a 3G version coming soon, but as said earlier £100 is a bit too ambitious.

I am waiting for a 32gb version of the Nexus 7, I looked at a few cheap tablets on Amazon such as this one for £86

    Seem to get decent reviews.

To be honest your not going to get much for less than £100.

Have you tried using Android? If so, do you like it? It is all you will get.

Have you asked yourself what you want to do on it?

Later this month Microsoft release their Surface Tablet. No prices yet, but it has been touted to come in at under $300 (£185) and very likely to be the best bargain for any tablet on the market if this price is correct.

Got a feeling this tablet will be explosive in shaking Apple and Android up.

There is also the colour Amazon book reader, runs Android apps. The Kindle Fire, Amazon sell this at almost cost hoping you by books etc. It is also subsidised by advert popping up from Amazon.

    But £100, it's gonna be 2nd hand.

Oh, you might get a bargain on a Blackberry Playbook... personally I cant stand the OS, but this gets a full 100% overhaul next year (expected to be a free OS upgrade).

I've had an Ipad 2 since Xmas, a nice piece of kit but go for an Android based tablet with a USB port.
