You're annoyed and I agree you are rightly annoyed however apple are massive and really don't care about these sort of incidents. Buy an iPhone 5 have a problem and they're great but anything else they don't careThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Isn't their business model now moving towards "if you know what you want, buy it online or over the phone and collect in store?".... or just go to the tills and ask for it. My local one still has till banks on each department.0 -
Well I live in Spain & buy everything online from the UK.
I don't know much about these fancy phones but why are you spending £500.
At Amazon Marketplace you can either buy a 4S phone s/h for £280 or new for £375.
Just thought I'd mention it :T

I haven't been to TC, but it seems a strange system, every Apple Store I've been in you just grab the first floating employee and tell them what you want. I haven't had a single one just fob me off, once the guy was about to run some sort of teaching session, but he radioed through and handed me over to the staffer who came to his call.
Sometimes helps to be assertive, "I want xxx, here is payment", its never failed me in an Apple Store from London to Newcastle.====0 -

Just ruins any 'fun' that might be gained by such an activity, but to be honest I couldn't ever see the appeal..
Thanks, think ill stay clear of the TC then, ive got cabot circus plus cardiff and swindon to keep me occupied if need be.0 -

I wouldn't buy any of those, 2 phones in your links are from private sellers with minimal feedback, and the other some sort of "company" with less than perfect feedback.
None if them are genuinely brand new either, even the "new" one is listed as being an unwanted upgrade and opened package.====0 -
So Apple managed to disappoint you twice and you still went back a third time?
Why do they need to worry about the customer when they can rely on the customer meeting them on their own terms?
My only experience with Apple is booking an appointment at the Genius bar to be given a rather funny quote to fix the DVD drive of my Macbook Pro.
That did leave me with a question, if 'Apple just works', why are there so many people working on the Genius bar?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

My sister bought an iPhone 3GS at Xmas time from there which was "new". She had no end of bother. Had to post it back twice & had to fight to get a refund or response in the end.
We all like to save money, but some times it's worth a bit extra for convenience - & buying from o2 for example, or even the Apple store (as they're 47 mile from me - less than an hour) would be a lot more convenient than having to post the phone off. Posting the phone off also brings Royal Mail into the equation & the less said there the better IMO.0 -

think this explains the typical Apple buyer mentality0 -
If you REALLY want one of those phones, why not return when you have a few hours to spare, with a folding chair, a flask of coffee, and a good book? You might find your waiting time reduced.0
