Not working now!
I did claim tax relief for UKCC fees, RCN membership, tights and shoes. That shows my age!! Laundry was done by the hospital.

Sorry, Clinical Nurse Specialist - a very grandiose (and unnecessary) title I always think! I run a nurse-led clinic which just about runs factoring in my annual leave (not that I ever take it all!) so couldn't justify it to myself. God forbid I go sick *touch wood* Makes me sound very important (I'm not really - just a needed pleb!) but the health board are very good at not replacing staff . A potential six week trial would mean that patients would miss their treatment and that would impact on other patients too. My curiosity as a juror will have to wait until another time...
I'm the tax relief assassin in work asking everyone if they have it and on some occasions filling out the forms for them... very MSE I think! :money:Life could be worse, you could be a nurse0 -

I can't actually understand why a nurse can't be a juror
A nurse CAN be a juror, they don't HAVE to be a juror.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

We went over this last night. My point was that I was unaware that a nurse can be excused just for being a nurse.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I've never been called, but my Dad has twice. The second time was a bloke who was found with fifteen teles in his front room. In the days before Channel 4 let alone freeview his defence that they were all for my own use didn't get him offIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0

Depends on the sentence you got. If the offence is ''spent'' then yes you can.
Can you show me where you got this information from?It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Sorry to jump in on the thread but can anyone help me?
My employers are topping up my loss of earnings to equal my salary. How does my employers know how much needs topping up? Are they sent an invoice of how many days attended broken down or just the final amount they pay me via a cheque?0 -

Just in case there is any doubt, a nurse (in Scotland and Northern Ireland) can be a juror, they don't have to be a juror. Unfortunately, English and Welsh nurses have to apply for exemption like everyone else by pleading their case (pun intended!)Life could be worse, you could be a nurse0
