Loving you pics this morning FF & Sylvia.
Just been thinking that this is the first year for a long long time that we aren't doing anything for the Easter Hols - probably one of our better decisions! It is such a shame for peeps who will have paid a lot of money to stay places at Easter. Our kids hols don't start until Friday but I know a lot are off already. First sign of decent weather and we are going to be away for a couple of nights as I still have a lot of last months winnings to spend.

Morning all had a lovely relaxing bath before I cleaned up to get me in the mood!

Our kids break up half day Wednesday Sheils and are off for two weeks. I'm just hoping I don't have to start my training in the Easter hols as DH is at work so not sure what I would do with kids.
Hope you manage to get a break somewhere once the snow clears

I agree with you walwin, there's so many poor peeps stuck without power etc, we forget how lucky we are!

I know BSue has been around but Ive not heard from Alfie. I know she was having trouble with Internet so maybe it's down again.

Is it still heavy snow for you fire**fly? I hope there is no floods after the big thaw! I think people have suffered enough!

I've just put extra blankets on kids beds as they were freezing last night. They went to bed with their onesie pj's, dressing gown, socks and even slippers!

Hi everyone! We started comping on Friday. The thing that spurred us on was, we complained to disney store because a toy (that cost £8) we bought for our daughter wasn't up to our expectations, might seem petty, but the paint came away within an hour, daughter didn't mind but I just expect better from disney store. Anyway, they emailed back saying we could return it or swap it, we didn't reply and didn't bother as our daughter still liked the toy and I think the same problem would've happened with another. Anyway they emailed us back a while later saying they notice we never took it any further and we explained why. They then replied saying they understood and were sorry etc and asked for our daughters details so they could send her a box of goodies. We expected stickers and colouring sheets etc. anyway, it arrived the next day! Inside was a £15 vanellope soft doll, a £12 vanellope bag, £5 voucher, stickers, colouring sheets, badge. She was so thrilled! And so were we! The feeling of getting something free was just amazing and so exciting, so we decided to start comping lol. We've entered loads and fingers crossed we win something, no matter how small, it's just so exciting and novelty. I have entered the odd comps in my lifetime and I've won a toy story bullseye buck a roo game and a kids scooter.. Although we had a nice win on the euro millions in 2010 (£66,500), we still play the lottery every now and again but I doubt we'll ever come close to that again. I'd be super happy with little bits and bobs (I'm obsessing over the m&ms bag lol).

Aw what a lovely story Jodie and welcome that was so nice Disney to reward your DD with the goodies :T I agree, it does give you a buzz and lifts your spirits when you get a win or a freebie!

Have just been a walk down to the town - walking by the road by the river as the pavements haven't been cleared until you get into the town.Feeling really cold. Great they are clearing your pavements FF.

Welcome Jodie - great of Disney. I remember DD entered a comp on an Easter Egg once to win a jewelery case filled with sweets and she won one and ate all the sweets. Then we had another delivery of choc bars etc as seemingly the sweets had been out of date!

Had a WEM but not sure I will be able to use it. I have won ferry tickets to Arran on the Visit Scotland April Draw but the WEM says they are for the 1st April and will be with me within 10days. I'm sure I asked for the 15th or 22nd as the 1st is Easter Monday. Would like to visit Arran but by the time the tickets come it will probably be too late to book a hotel and I don't want to book before I get tickets. The other thing is Arran is without electricity just now and it could be a while before they get it back on. Not sure what to do now as weather could get bad again.

Ah that's a shame sheils. It's annoying when prizes need to be used on very specific dates. Like you say the weather will probably still be very bad so maybe you could wait until you get the tickets then write to the company and ask if you could have something else/tickets for another date?

Nothing in the post today and no WEMs so far. The whole household has had the vomiting bug over the course of this week. My sister just came down with it today so waiting for my turn! :(

Thanks Emmap but it is an enormous draw and I probably got that date as not many people put that date down as it was so close. (It has been a weekly comp) Just saw Arran on the news and can't see it being sorted out by the 1st even if there isn't more snow.
Hope you miss the bug - we are all full of the cold.
