My mum used to have one when I was six, and we had a tin bath as we didn't have a bathroom...only a scruffy old toilet in the yard so we had a bed pan on top of stairs and bro used to sleep walk and kick it down stairs! :rotfl:

Good morning,

I won't be about until later today as we are taking the car to the garage to get some sort of respray as finger prints are showing on the paintwork and won't come off! It is being done under warranty but I don't know what sort of wreck they are giving us in its place or how long they will take. Going to do a bit of shopping in Dumfries anyway.

nothing exciting happening this end just the usual

snows settled overnight but suns shining & it looks lovely out but still very cold :eek:

Those twin tubs were labour saving but filling / rinsing & emptying was a pain! I had one of those Tefal sink washers once and you couldn't fit much more than a couple of undies in there, else it would grind to a halt!



We were not allowed calculators @ school. I even had a manual calculator once. My first electronic calculator had a red screen!



CD walkmans were a revolution @ the time but they ate the batteries, would skip and you had to carry around loads of discs! MP3's are fab now (who would believe after cassettes, reel-reel, 8 track, cd walkmans etc.)

(sigh) .. here we go again!
DD has been sick yet again through night and this morning so I've got an app for docs today. I wasn't in a good mood after calling dr's as soon as it turned 8am, they put you through an answer machine system to be held in a queue just to get through to doctors....then you get held in another queue!! :mad: after 20-25 mins receptionist asks what problem is and the dr will call back!! (mad again!) luckily the doctor who called back was the nice doctor who got DD in this morning she thinks it could be her urine and with kidney trouble in the family I'm not taking any chances!

It's snowing very heavy here now! It's already laid a bit so I guess there'll be more to come!

Anyway....rant over! **breathes, relaxes** I feel much better now!
