Mmm...pancakes! I could just eat some now! :p well done on your win fire**fly :T
Your lucky cat hasn't worked for me yet ILC :o nothing in the post, only bills.
It's raining here too Sheils and very cold! Hope there's no white stuff on its way!
Hope all is well today Sylvia xx

I've been for a dummy run for where I'm going to work to see how long it takes. I will probalby have to walk down a long path alongside a field which will be scary till I get used to it. :o didn't take long to get there though which is good, I can get bus so far for now until I get back in the car, need some refresher lessons and maybe my own little car. :)

Just been watching the weather forecast wingo and not looking good for you - showing a possibility of snow by Sunday!
Glad you will be able to get to your new job OK. I don't drive very much now which is silly I know but I miss our old automatic.

I've currently got a long sleeve top on, a jumper and a cardigan but still cold! :o
We've always had a rubbish car when I passed my test until we got our Peugot two yrs ago. It's a bit big for me to drive just yet though.

We had 2 Space Wagons for 5 years and then 8 years and I loved them even though they were so big and powerful. Really must try to love our ASX as it is realy nice to look at and really economical for its size.

Feeling quite cold here too wingo. (You wouldn't like to see the gas bill we got today either!)

    Hi everyone.

Thank you all for your concern. I am pretty sure I have not been spammed. It was me who contacted BT as my email account had been closed. I did not take any phone calls from spammers and did not open the email which I received supposedly from BT but not if you see what I mean.

If I had come on the forum and asked for help like I should have done if I hadn't panicked I could have sorted it out without the expense but it is a lesson learned.

All is well now I just have to wait the 24 hours for BT to re-open my email account and should be OK. I am going to open a gmail account as Weeowens suggests and see if that is easier to use.

At least you have all hopefully read the articles that Weeowens kindly posted so you are all aware of what is going on.

Sorry I have missed a lot of your posts so please forgive me, I will pick myself up and hopefully be back to normal tomorrow.

BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

OMG!!!! what a couple of days I have had!!!!! :( Was settled with cat and watching Mayday last nite and pow mega power cut!!!!!) We was in the dark!! Nearly gave me a funny turn!!!! Came on again early this morn then went off again for much of the morn - they have been digging up road etc - now its on again:eek:!!

Cat not amused, nor was I. Fairly scary when you are on your own, particularly at night. :o:(

Have brought in candles and storm lanterns etc in case it goes off again!!!! Best to be prepared. :)

    Hope everyone is well. xxxxxxxx

Glad it wasn't a scam Sylvia - it did sound so like what they do! We all panic when things go wrong. I phone my BIL who was a Computer Programer but he is out of date now and I think probably asking on here is more helpful. I was so pleased I sorted out my problems and DDs lately.

Hope your electricity stays on Alfie - I hate being in the dark. Always keep candles handy but usualy struggle to find matches. Someone usually has a mobile with a light though to help search.

Thanks for the lucky Scottish cat ILC, love it :D

Poor Alfie, hope you kept warm and your light stays on :)

Glad you got sorted Sylvia but must have been very stressful for you.

Thanks Fire**fly got your PM re the merges, was wishing I hadn't started it, took so long

Are you getting excited about starting the new job Wingo?

Hope we aren't getting snow sheils, mind you it is cold enough here today, bitter wind.

galaxynicole, I was the same as your Mum when I started computing, used a notebook, my Idiot's Guide and it worked, mind you that was in the days before Windows when we used dos programmes. It stood me in good stead though when I had to teach the nurses I worked with to use the internet and gave them the same advice.

Managed to do a lot of comps today but no wins :(
