Off to help my nan again today. Need to get to town and get some new work trousers too. Hate spending money for work but managed to rip my other ones

Wingo - sorry about the peeps in your street. Not nice at all, I know they have to live somewhere but best not too close.

Off to take GS to town for lunch as he loves going out for food, in fact he just loves food full stop. Just have to make sure we keep him off the chocolate as that sends him on the ceiling.

Becks I am sending you lucky vibes. This is the first really lucky spell I have had for ages. I have had a £200, £100 & £50 and DH had a £100. Also had a £50 Rubbersoles Voucher. I am thanking DD as the other week she said "How come you never win cash any more?"

Morning everyone, lovely clear bright morning here, weather should be good for your wee break sheils

Taking a leaf out of Alfie's book and carrying on with some spring cleaning

Bit disappointed with the buyagift voucher win as I had hoped to use it for a hotel stay when we go to Rome-no joy as it is comp prize can only use in UK-worth asking though. Had a look at the choices and only 3 in Scotland (don't want to travel far) St Andrews, 2 night stay in 400 year old Inn (no breakfast), Dunoon, 2 night stay with breakfast and one night 3 course meal and Dumfries, 2 night stay with breakfast in a B&B! None exactly luxurious :rotfl:I know ungrateful mare!

Think Dunoon wins even although it is near where I spent most of my life and know the area so well. Ach well no doubt we will enjoy it.

Looking after my two GDs for a couple of hours later so looking forward to hearing their news.

Just the same planned for today, DIY and sorting out! Manage to get rid of lots of stuff we never use to create more space.
Youngest was sick through night and I never heard her she said she didn't want to wake me bless her! She still wants to go to playscheme though so hope she will be ok now.

Hi all, just back from our second power cut in 24 hours. The first one was just after 10 last night and lasted until past midnight, it was fun getting all of the jobs done that need doing before we turn in for bed....NOT!. Then it went off again at 9 this morning and came back about 10 minutes ago. You don't realise how much you rely on electricity until you haven't got it

Right, must catch up, have a lucky day all x

Oh yes Wingo - them spiders are obese but fast!!!! :eek::eek: I go in with multiple layers of clothing on, plus bicycle clips round me trousers, plus wellies and a hat on me head and me gardening gloves :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But I always come out convinced they are on me somewhere!!!! :eek: I always pray that no one will call when i'm eeeerrr looking so lovely!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

The shed is the worst to do, (that's where the biggest big daddy critters hang out :eek:) but i'm waiting a while to do that!!!!!

Ellemm and Sylv - my cleaning is very random as above Some days I get a real spurt on yet other days it's a def no no :rotfl::rotfl:

SueB, sorry to hear about power cuts. You are right, we tend to take it all for granted until it goes!!! I have some hurricane lamps/candles/torches etc I have on standby just in case (because of previous experiences!) and thankfully have gas to cook with. Hope you have got it all back and up and running now.

My goodness - it is freezing here, overcast with nasty cold wind :eek:

Hi Alfie - I don't like spiders on little bit, I run a mile.

Wingo - Hope you youngest it OK now, it's amazing how quickly they recover. Today hasn't been too bad its just the constant need to be occupied and the ADHD as well doesn't help. The problem is he gets harder and we get older all the time lol

B.Sue - I think the worst thing about no electricity is not being able to make a cuppa. We take these things so much for granted thats the problem.

Hi everyone,

Just came online to check my emails - well you never know! lol
Had a lovely day so far and looking forward to a nice dinner now. We have walked for miles around Maryport which is accross the sea from home. It is really nice. Had a bit of a walk beside Bassenthwaite Lake too but resting with a drink now. Hotel is good with friendly staff, hope the food is good as DH insisted we eat here and make a night of it!
Anyone had any wins?
Sure you will enjoy your break ellemm - everything is better if it is free.

I hate it too Sue when leccy is off. No washing, no ironing no hoovering....(tut) :whistle:

I'm upside down at the minute, and no...I don't mean I'm doing headstands! I've stuffed anything and everything into wherever I can till we pull cupboards apart in kitchen. The damp and foist behind the cupboards is awful! Need it sorting before new kitchen is fitted. still...onwards and upwards!
