The Compers Inn Part 39

I keep forgetting to thank the comping fairy FF! I remember when I first started comping you told ne to do that. I have been comping for 3 years now and had lots of lovely wins. My favourite was a night away at Lodge on Loch Lomond although there have been lots worth more than that. Does everyone have a favourite win? I am trying to win some short breaks this year as we can go on our own now.
You must be getting the same forecast as us ellemm - we will soon see anyway. Well done on getting the meat - my DH would have loved me winning that!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

My favourite win ever was the £1,500 Virgin Holidays voucher at the beginning of 2008, we booked to go to Florida for the first time & was worrying how to pay for spending money & passports when the week after the voucher I won £1,000 from Pick Me Up magazine!2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0

Great wins PMS! I won a cheque for £1,000 when I first started comping too and put it towards a holiday. Won compo of £360 from another win that Royal Mail misslaid too that year so they both paid for a Tenerife break. Think my biggest win was probably the Lucozade Campervan one to Latitude that DS2 and his 2 mates got - he had won me a 4 night hotel break at his work though so maybe Karma.:DMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

can't say i've realy got a fave win  had so many nice ones,

Just popping my head in quickly....
Did anyone else see this? My mum told me she saw a programme about comping and I found it:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01pwt0j/Inside_Out_West_14_01_2013/
BBC Inside Out West programme (it starts at about 19 minutes & 30 seconds in)
I thought some of you might like a look .

Hi Everyone, We have got snow coming down now, on top of the ice, so it will probably be hell on the pavements tomorrow.
Katie - sorry you have a bad throat and hope you will feel better tomorrow.
Ellemm - glad your meat hamper came. I have to watch my DH as he always enters to meat hampers, don't know if its got anything to do with him being a butcher before he retired. He does not think about where they have to be picked up from.
PMS - that was good the way you won spending money after you had won the holiday.
Watched the video Molly, it makes you see why companies are going more and more to catch phrases.
Think my best win was £1,000 about 5 weeks after I started comping last year. Also washing machine, mobile and of course the soup maker.
FireFly - I always thank the comping fairy and all those who post the comps. I am always pleased to hear about other peeps wins as well. I think a positive attitude helps although some think thats daft I do believe in positive thinking. My Mom god rest her soul always used to rant on about a book called 'The Power of Positive Thinking'. It is a hobby and anything we win is a bonus and we are really grateful for what we win.
Well must get to bed soon after I have done a few more.
Night Night everyone.
'BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Hope everyone is Ok. My DD was getting all excited about us getting snow tomorrow and now it has vanished from our forecast! DH's sister and brother both live in Wales (one South and one North) and they both seem to have been hit hard. I do love looking at snow but I hate it when it lies for a while. We went for a night to Glasgow once and got snowed in - motorways were closed and everything and it hadn't been forecast. We had to buy extra underwear etc and shops all closed early too. Never got over losing my cruise to Amsterdam because of snow at Newcastle either - snow doesn't like me.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

There are some nice chunky wins in the inn!

I'm in the £100 goods club.
There's hope that I may enter
the next tier club one day soon.

I've done better on the lottery since it started (4 no's on the lotto a few times, 4 no's on the Thunderball, 5 no's on the Thunderball. £50 £200 on a Scratch card)
Bingo £1500, £1000, £750 but over a few decades!
