sylv, i always thank the ops on here if i've entered through thier postings as well :A sometimes i've entered a comp on ukhotdeals before it's posted on here but on hotdeals you just press the hot/like button to give them what they call heat & that way you can keep check on what you've entered even if it's posted on here, there's not many as usually maj of them are posted here first but some of them aren't, been working that way for years & i've never duped yet, your mom sounds lovely & i couldn't agree more with what you & your mum say :A

must admit sheils, the snow's lovely to look at & we all have fun about it but in reality it does get a bit much when we can't get out properly & causes disruption on roads/schools/shops closing etc

Thats great that you got your iPad so soon fire**fly if you haven't switched it on yet it's quite simple and doesn't really come with instructions! you just add your wireless and away you go!

I would agree too with being thankful for your wins in the past I know it's been a quiet few months for here but I've had fantastic wins in the past and been able to put lots of stuff away in previous yrs for Xmas. I rub my mr Buddha every day and talk to my money plant!

Sheils, I hope your relatives are ok in Wales. I've heard it's bad down there. It's supposed to be bad here tomorrow, the roads are quite slippy now, especially near us where they don't get gritted, lots of cars getting stuck.

Better go get comping seeing as I've only got 25 mins!

Morning all!!!

Oooooh nooooo, woken up to blanket of thick snow and the sky is full of it. The flakes are coming down big time :eek::eek:

I am very pleased I have got all my provisions in, including loads of salt for the steps and paths. No walks for me for sometime. Not until the pavements are safe again. Shan't go out in car until springtime I reckon :eek: Poor car looks like an igloo at the moment!!!

Puddy cat is happy enough sitting this side of the patio doors in the warm trying to catch the snowflakes outside!!! She can't work out what has occurred thru the night and why everything looks so ....... strange!!!!

Very dark here at the mo.

Morning!

Well so much for our snow - DD is furious that we don't seem to be getting any. Seems really mild here again.
Stay in and keep safe Alf.
Hope everyone else is OK too. Will get in touch with DHs bro and sis later to see how they are doing. DH's sis lives at the top of a big hill which gets badly affected even though it is a main route. His brother has just moved into a town from being in the country so it shouldn't be quite as bad for him as it would have been.
Must try and visit my parent today - I will be in the bad books for not being sooner.

Oooooh! Just wrapped up and gone out to garden to sweep/shake snow off the bird feeders so they can get some food. Bird bath is a no no at the mo because as soon as I put water in, it starts to freeze.:eek:

Just also got out my trusty broom (bit like a witches broom :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and went round garden, knocking snow of some of my beloved plants who appear to be struggling under the weight of the snow.

Just off to defrost meself now :eek::eek: xxxxx

Thanks FF and lovely pic ! DH just run DD to school as her pal forgot to tell her she was going to Dr this morning and he says it was showing 2 on the car. It feels odd that weather is Ok here and bad over most of the rest of UK. Stay warm anyway. x
