Good Morning,

Seems mild here this morning - probably means snow will be coming!
Going to make some soup and a steak pie today and hopefully get ironing up to date. Does anyone else feel they keep ironing the same stuff all the time?

Morning!!!!! Ooooh, it's eerily chilly here:eek: Guessing the weather won't be so kind this weekend.

Just been out in garden, cleaning out bird feeders, refilling them with nuts and seeds up to top. Saw little feathered critters landing on the bird bath earlier (which was frozen solid), so have done my best with that too, plenty of hot water to try and de-ice it!!!! Puddy cat was keeping an eye on the situation from the patio doors!!!!

Then, I stood by the bird bath on guard because I didn't want them landing in hot water!!!!:eek: However, it took just a few moments for water to cool and think I will keep going out throughout the day and top it it up when needed.

Oh your curry dinner sounds just the ticket ff!!

I had one again the other day, love them!! As I had my souffle yesterday, I think tonight I will go for Cornish veg cheese pie. Luckily I saved and froze a batch of cheesy pastry so just have to cook up the filling: potatoes and veggies and onion with herbs.

It's a very tasty dish, very filling and ideal for this sort of weather.

Lol!! More exercise required me thinks!!! But I do enjoy my food in this weather!!!

Doesn't the puddy like the snow then? come to think of it I haven't seen neighbours cats out so I'm guessing that cats don't like to stay in when it's snowing!

I know the feeling Sheils, washing & ironing....never ending! It's funny how you can empty a washing basket one min and the next min it's magically full again! Got a wash on now and jasper has hidden his fave teddy from me as he thinks I'm gonna wash it each time I load the washer!

Curry is great for this weather too fire**fly think i'll do hubby a curry as he's on nights but we have parents eve first tonight.

It was -9 when I took kids to school and a van was stuck in ice near our road as the little residential areas aren't gritted. Was there for half an hour with three others trying to help him till eventually another van was able to tow him. I'm still thawing out!

Morning everyone, just catching up with all the chat in here from yesterday, well done to all the winners :T

Yes Shiels, very calm here too today-calm before the storm no doubt as we are forecast to have snow tomorrow

Mention of curry is putting me in the mood for one, got some chicken in the freezer so think that's a plan for tonight's dinner

This cold weather making me desperate to get flights booked to Greece, planning to go end of April and stay till September this time :jbut waiting to see how OH gets on recovering from him knee op. He is the world's worst pessimist so struggling to get him to take in that it will take time.

Pretty well up to date with comps and just hoping for some nice wins.

Saw this pic of Wocher site and though to you iluvcat/Alfie. Also this one





iluvcats - thats bad putting the lottery up double. Problem is if peeps do more than one line they will have to double up as they will be afraid of missing a win on the numbers they stop. They have got you really. Know it's funds go to good causes but we just can't afford to do it on a regular basis so don't do it at all. Have trouble enough every time we go out there is always someone shaking a box. We always put in for the children't ones and also the cancer research as well.


Sheils - of all the jobs we have to do I must admit I hate ironing, there is never an end to it somehow.


FireFly - curry sounds lovely. When we did it the other day we didn't have any rice so Fred suggested we have it with pasta. I thought it sounded a bit odd but actually it made a nice change.


Alfie - hope you have some energy as I think you will be spending most of the day outside warming up the bird water if our weather is anything to go by. I do feel sorry for the birds when its like this though.


Wingo - hope all goes well at the parents evening tonight.


Ellemm - Greece sounds lovely for the summer. We like greece but the day flights always seem to be expensive and can't cope with starting a flight half way through the night.

Hi all!!! Thought I should go for milk, salt etc this morn before the weather takes a turn for the worse.

My lovely postman (such a sweet pea and always looking out for all of us) saw me en route coming back home from village and was pleased that I was all sorted for the weekend and beyond and would be safely tucked up indoors, just in case re weather conditions. Bless him. So lovely to have someone like that around. xxxxxx

Afternoon,it's very dark here today they have forecast snow tomorrow but it looks very snowy out so might arrive early.I'm not going out today,having a day in the warm. Hope you all have a lucky day

Just hung washing out and had a nice walk as I don't suppose we will get far tomorrow. Not sure they are as certain about the snow for here now but we will soon see.
The nice lady from carrentals has been in touch again to say she isn't in the office today but will sort my Amazon voucher out tomorrow. Wish all comp prizes came as quick!
Off to get lunch now - a tuna sandwich.
