I am a big fan of Amazon too FF but lately they have sometimes used Yodel to send me stuff. We never know who will deliver Yodel stuff here - sometimes it is just a man with a car. There is a petition to try and stop Amazon using them.
Was really impressed with Shoptonet after I ordered DS's PS3 at 4pm yesterday and it arrived 10.45am today with DPD. By far the cheapest and no extra for delivery either.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

I prefer to just order small letter-box sized packages from Amazon etc. (or slightly bigger ones that come definitely via Royal Mail and you can collect from the sorting office) Hate hanging around for a parcel or having to re-arrange a delivery if not able to be in.0 -

horse DNA has been found in beef burgers sold by tesco, iceland and i think asda
correction
Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Aldi and Iceland
In nine of the 10 beef burger samples from these retailers, horse DNA was found at very low levels.

I prefer to slap a home-made lean minced beef patty on the GF grill.
(some burgers I think they add rusk amongst other ingredients)
Found one soup maker article (below)
Soup maker first look reviews Waring Soup Maker WSM1U
Want less washing up when you’re making soup? The Waring Soup Maker WSM1U promises to deliver just that. We asked a Which? researcher to get hands on with this all-in-one cooking and blending machine to bring your our first impressions.
There's no need for a frying pan, spoons, saucepans and a blender when you use the Waring Soup Maker. It has three heat settings for saut!ing vegetables and simmering soup, a button for stirring during cooking and it stops automatically thanks to the digital timer. It’s also a blender with four speeds and a pulse function.
Coming to the boil
Our tester found the Waring simple to set up, as it comes with a quick-start guide, detailed instructions and a recipe booklet. The black and brushed-steel finish looks stylish - a plus for a fairly heavy piece of kit which would need a lot of cupboard space if you didn't want to keep it permanently on display.
Despite some preliminary steps in the recipe booklet not tallying with the instruction guide, the Waring is generally easy to use. The digital display is large enough to see the timer counting down the minutes from across the kitchen. Four beeps sound when time’s up and the Waring Soup Maker turns itself off automatically.
The five recipes we tried each started off with saut!ing or softening vegetables. The stir button kept things from sticking to the hot plate too much but our triallist wasn’t able to get onions as well browned as in a pan. Soups did, however, cook more quickly in the Soup Maker than similar recipes prepared on the hob.
If you're looking for a kitchen gadget that will cook your food with minimal effort, take a look at our slow cooker reviews.

Smooth finish
The Soup Maker’s lid doesn’t let steam escape during cooking so, though the soups tasted great, they seemed a bit watery or thinner than our tester expected. Using the stir button during cooking tended to blend ingredients as well as moving them about which ruled out a chunkier soup.
Blending hot watercress soup immediately after cooking was a plus, and there weren’t any problems using the machine to crush ice or make a fruit smoothie.
See our jug blender reviews for more information on choosing a blender, and our full test of another soup maker, the Cuisinart SSB1U.The Waring's soup jug is easy to clean by simmering soap and water inside
Less washing up
With only the glass jug and lid to clear up the Waring’s self-clean feature was an added bonus. The jug gets cleaned by simmering a small amount of water and detergent and using a low blender setting. Lentils were left on the non-stick base once, but they came off easily enough with careful use of a dish brush.
The Waring Soup Maker would suit you if you regularly make smooth soups or if you’re always short of time and want to get on with other things while you’re cooking.
The machine costs £129.99 and is available from Argos, Currys, and Dixons
Pros: Less washing up, easy to use and speedy results without having to watch the pot
Cons: Thinner soups might not suit you and space might be a problem if you have a small kitchen or limited storage space. It costs nearly three times as much as our cheapest Best Buy jug blender0 -
iluvcats - dont think you can beat the one we have just won. Its all stainless steel so won't break. You just put the stuff in, dont need to stir or anything, lovely thick soup. Thickness obviously depends on how much veg etc you put in, less veg thinner soup. Has 3 settigs for smooths soup, chunky soup and smoothie maker. 21 mins of doing nothing and its done. Love it.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0
