Morning everyone :wave:
Been to take dog for a walk but I think he took me instead! I may as well of got on a sledge and let him pull me!
I bought one of those cheap candle things from pound shop that opens out like a fountain and plays happy birthday but you can only use it once so I threw it in kitchen bin yesterday. Well it's been going off non stop through night, I even came downstairs, stamped on it, snapped the top off then put it in water but it was still going off this morning when I came down! :eek: I threw it in outside bin in the end!

LadyM, thanks for sharing your pic with us. what an adorable baby :A I'm sure he will settle in a routine soon, it's just the attachment phase and it's good that he has the mum-baby bond already. Make sure you get some time to rest yourself xx

Alfie, your cat sounds really mischievous! :rotfl: the snow grippers that peeps are talking about goes on the bottom of your shoes to stop you falling in ice. I saw them in B&M last year at a cheap price, not sure if hey have any this year.

Sylvia, that was quick for your washing machine! :T hope your sis recovers well after her hip op.

Morning all

A nice bright day here today, the snow didn't come to anything thank goodness. I had a really good nights sleep last night. I changed the bed yesterday and swapped the Summer duvet for the thicker one, DH hates it, he can't bear to be too hot in bed, but it was so toasty, I loved it.

I'm going to see my Sister this morning who is babysitting her 2 year old Grandson, it will be nice to see him again, I have Milky Bar buttons at the ready

Gorgeous pic LM, you both look so proud, hope everything goes smoothly for you. I have it all to come next week when we bring little Finlay home, I'm really nervous now.

Wingo you did make me laugh with the birthday candle, it was just like Phoebe in Friends with the smoke alarm

was trying to melt the water in birds bath & had a slight accident :eek:
seemed to have slighty sprained my wrist but seems ok as not swollen up yet, though painful :eek:

it's just throbbing a bit & feels pulled so have put a wet crepe bandage on it, hopefully will ease off later, just have to be a little bit slower trying to type :eek:

Lol at wingo!!! Yep, had a similar incident with my smoke alarm in the hallway a week or so back!!! I wasn't burning anything but the steam from cooking my veggies set it off big time!!! About 9 oclock at night (late for me). Cat went beserk, the noise was mind splitting and I tried to poke it to stop it with me crutch, and it carried on. Tried banging it, etc but to no avail. So eventually managed to balance on the stairs, could just reach it at a stretch holding onto the bannisters and was quite brutal with it, managed to pull it apart and get battery out.

Rang neighbours in the morn and they came round to sort it for me. No damage done - it must be a tough little critter. So now its up and running again. xxxxxx

Oh FF, lol yes, we seem to enjoy the same things, def foodie twins :rotfl::rotfl: However, i have never tried honey and b sugar on my porridge - i have the ingredients so tomorrow morning will give it a go, its sounds delicious!!!! xxxx

Hi:j Been waiting in all morning for washing machine to come. The lady said am so usually means before 12 but with the weather I suppose it could be delayed. Don't quite now who to ring if it doesn't should have asked for a tracking number but didn't think at the time with the excitement.


Firefly - RU OK, you need to be careful rushing around in this weather, ibuprofen jell is good or that cold spray you can get, I am probably talking rubbish as you would have to go out to get it. I love Viennese thanks.

B.Sue I bet you are getting excited now about Finlay, are you going to use a crate to train him, I know it sounds bad but I used one for my Yorkie. 1.she loved it and 2. I had her trained in no time. It gives him somewhere to feel secure and gives you a bit of a rest and is good when you have lots of visitors. Still everyone has there own methods.
