Hey everyone. :) Came home on Wednesday evening. :) Hubby let me sleep for a few hours. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen which I got prescribed by the hospital aren't even touching the pain so I've had to resort to my Tramadol as it's the only way i can get in and out of bed.
Dexter won't settle unless he's being held. It was similar in hospital. He'd fall asleep on me, I'd put him in the cot, then he'd notice and cry. It's a similar situation here with the moses basket. Has anyone else had this? The midwives said it's normal but as a new mum, you worry!
Thank you for all of the well wishes. Dexter is perfect. I never knew it was possible to love a little person so much.
The cat is a little bemused though.lol

Hi LadyM - thanks for sharing your pic! It is lovely to see you all - having had 4 kids it brings back memories. I'm afraid babies just cry for no real reason sometimes and we do tend to worry at first. My 3rd was the worst , he thought night was day and as DH was a postman and we had 2 older kids at school life was really difficult for a while. DD never got us up in the night once. She was 8lb 12oz and just seemed to sleep through and used to suck her fingers when hungry instead of crying. Used to feel guilty when we woke and she was sucking away waiting on breakfast!
Hope you feel fitter soon and enjoy Dexter.( You won't enjoy him much when he is a teenager like 2 of mine are now!)
Lots of love and best wishes x

Awwwww LM what a lovely picture. Thank you for sharing.

Hope Dexter settles into a routine soon. I am not a parent so can't say if it's right or wrong but I would suggest not picking him up straight away if he is unsettled (obviously if he is really screaming I don' suggest leaving him) Think he will settle into a routine. Just before you put him down make sure he is fed, winded and has a clean bum :rotfl:

Wishing you and hubby lots of fun times with baby and hope your pain eases off for you

    Good morning everyone!!!!! :)

Its a tad cold here brrrrrrrr and the boiler is playing up!!!! Its ancient and like me, has to rest every so often before it fires up again :D:rotfl::rotfl:. Seems to be working now, so getting a bit of heat.

LM - what a beautiful photo. Try not to worry, your wee boy will be fine and I hope you are not in too much pain now. Had an emergency section myself with first born and I know how difficult it can be. And my first born never slept either, not really in the early days. Bit different now tho!!! Sending love and big hugs to you all. xxxx

Well to all on your wins everyone!!!!

Puddy cat is in the 'dog house'!!!!! I have a floor standing fan in the room for use in hot weather (hasn't been used for years and really just gathering dust :rotfl::rotfl:) and cat decided to launch an attack on it thru the night. !!!!! She managed to pull off the grid thing on the front and the seal that holds it altogether came flying across the room like a flipping freebie toy thing that you throw :eek: She was none the worse, has a quick clean and strutted off!!!! She obviously didnt like it and decided to redesign it :rotfl::rotfl: This morning she is being extra loving, (I wonder why!!!! :D) and my chore today is to put the thing back together again, and then its being banished to the garage!!! :D

What are these shoes you are talking about for use in the ice and snow? I could do with some of them for the future. Just thinking ahead. :)

Have a fab day everyone and good luck with the comps. :) xxxxx

Don't know about you folks but the weeks just seem to be flying. Only next week to get everything ready as will be at Sisters in Hartlepool then while sister has hip operation. Must get a move on.

That Budha is doing us all proud at the moment isn't it? Never seen so many wins on the Inn, keep it up everyone and well done.

Got up early today as Argos are delivering my Washing Machine Win.

LM - Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful picture. Enjoy every moment as Sheils says they grow up before you know it. Try not to worry too much about Dexter he will settle down and the more calm you are the better he will be. Just try and relax and enjoy every moment. It will probably take a few weeks for him to settle down.

Becks - I hope you have a fire to put on if you haven't got the heating on.

    What's to eat today FireFly:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Do have a lovely day everyone and keep safe. Its freezing here in Durham, with snow on the ground. The dogs are loving it.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Lol!!! I meant a frisbee flying through the air, not a freebie :rotfl::rotfl: I blame my furry feline - lack of sleep, my brain hasn't totally kicked in yet!!! Off now for a bowl of steaming hot porridge with a banana chopped up in it. Scrumptious! Sets me up for a good few hours. Alf xxxxx

FF - hope you enjoyed your curry :D- I loved mine - just the ticket for this cold weather. Tonight I am cooking bubble and squeak with egg and beans. Another favourite dish. :D xxxxxx

    Morning all,

Hope everyone is well. We have rain here! Doesn't look like we will get out for a walk - wonder what I will do ...........

Great your washing machine is coming already Sylvia.

Hope you can fix your fan Alfie although I don't think you will be needing it for a while.

Hope Virgin gets things sorted soon Becks.

Now let me at some comps.
