EXPIRED Samsung 16GB Galaxy Tablet for £149 on HMV.com

Well after this fiasco I will not be shopping from HMV again!

I don't mean I am 'boycotting' them, but it is because their stock control and customer service is so utterly pants!

I mean, stock control is pretty important in an online business, no? I don't expect super-accurate live stock control, but not realising after 48+ hours that an item has actually sold out while another 10,000+ people have gone and ordered further non-existing products (because the stupid website still shows the item is still in stock) is failure at a truly Olympic level!

How hard can it be to realise something has sold out?!? How is a company supposed to keep track of their stock day-to-day if they don't know how much of something they have left, when stock levels are low and they need to re-order stock etc? :mad: :mad:

I phoned them today and told them the exact same thing. Made sure my NEW account was closed. Really don't need promotion emails from them:mad:

very happy today just got my Samsung galaxy 8.9 tab and its brilliant!!!

payed more for delivery that's probably why mine has come fast anyway its a good tablet and loved the price i payed just used my tablet to post this.

Do you mind me asking when you ordered? I ordered early Saturday morning and I'm getting the same message as everyone else.

On Friday HMV reduced the price of this item, but such was the popularity of this offer that it oversubscribed more quickly than we anticipated, especially after it was actively promoted by consumer-deals blog and websites over the weekend. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to fulfil your order for this product. Although HMV did not take any payment for this item, and is therefore not required to complete the transaction, we do, of course, understand the level of disappointment and frustration this may cause, and on behalf of HMV I would like to sincerely apologise to you.

Thanks for your update. I have just checked my emails and there is still nothing from HMV other than the order confirmation.
Its a funny old way to do business but in this day and age, nothing surprises me any more.
I don't know what to think really other than the fact that you would have assumed they would have sent that email to everyone who wasn't successful around the same time and maybe, just maybe, there is some hope still for some!!!!!;)
