Completely agree, but sadly, doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. The amount the CSOs have been discharging this summer, means even more pressure will be heaped on SWW to continue spending millions cleaning up our coasts and I can see them trying to up our rates even more before long.

Your water usage over a quarter equates to about 9.5 cubic metres of water used per month, so going on the figure of 6 - 8 for a 2 person household, that sounds about right to me, although you could probably get it a bit lower if you were really stringent with your usage.

I also live in SWWater region, 5 adults in the house, we use about 10m3 of water a month. Last 3 months 29.5m3 which cost £158.

Previous 3 months usage was 49m3 as we had an overflowing toilet which went unnoticed for too long, I now read the meter weekly !
We also now have water hippo's in the loo's, reduce flow showerhead, water efficient washing machine etc... and our water bill is still higher than our electric bill!
