    Morning everyone.

Not much decorating today as am going to see a friend and offload a load of kids toys on to her :D
House is a tip so am about to start rushing round doing that. I have to call and get some new lights for kitchen I've ordered, take library books back and swap some paint.
The. Back to grindstone of prepping the house for more decorating tomorrow.

OS.....chances of that are slim to none :rotfl: I am thinking about making a chicken and chorizo stew for tea and that will be cooked from scratch. But that's about it :o

    Hugs and spoons all round.

BB as poor Maud, sorry she's been sick xxxx

Come on April, we're all rooting for you. Thoughts are with you and your family and friends.

    Morning All

Still poorly but I feel a bit better today. Spent half an hour trying to get an appt at the docs only to be told I could try again tomorrow or have one for next Thursday. As I will likely be better (or dead) by then I will go to see the pharmacist instead. Just have an amazing amount of pressure behind my eyes and nose and in my head.

Hope Maud gets better soon, she's having a rough time.
    Good Luck to RRs DD.
Hugs to those not feeling too good.

Washing just going on, the weather could clear up, not sure yet. Must try to put the hoover round and clean the bathroom (then have a lie down!).

    Take care. XX

    Morning All
I am feeling much better today, I nebulised last night and this morning and started on steroids, which has brought my peak flow back :D I have an appointment with the Dr on Friday.

Lovely Sunny day with a breeze so I have done the bedding and it is on the line. The forecast is for rain tomorrow and getting colder :( so I am taking advantage of today and getting as much washing done as I can.
DH has taken the curtains down in the front room because the French doors and side windows are being fitted today :j so they are the next to go in the machine DS moved all the furniture into the middle of the living room last night, so that the fitters can just get on with the job.

Dinner tonight is Hoisin chicken and noodles with pancake rolls :D

Another who hopes that April is found soon bless her, it has been made even sadder now that we know that the poor little mite has cerebral palsy. I wholeheartedly agree that a five year old should not be playing out that late at night, my two had been fed, bathed and were in bed at between 7pm-7:30pm. But saying that the parents thought that they lived in a safe area. I have the feeling that she is no longer alive, and I do hope that I am wrong, but she has been missing for too long now :(

Oh well onwards and upwards, have good days all BFN x

    Morning :hello:

We're going on holiday tomorrow so I'm sorting out clothes and shoes today. I'll give the house a quick once over but I don't know why I'm bothering, master tru is staying home and he'll make a lot of mess then frantically clean up just before we get back :D

I'll clean out the animals later so they're as inconvenient as possible for him :D

Just about to check the greenhouses, I'll freeze as many toms as possible.

Show me a perfect parent and I'll show you a liar ;)

  • Morning!
Hope all are happy and healthy, hugs for those who are not.
Pretty good start to the day, quick coffee with a friend at 9 as she brought some sheets to shorten for a mutual 'older' friend, the I finally managed to get through to HMRC to change my tax code, so a nice refund should be heading my way in a few weeks time :D

Now just had a read of this weeks email, and a mooch round the forum, so it's time to get some work done.

    2 x sheets to alter
1 x voile panel to shorten
    Defrost hm soup for tonight
Stick some stuff on eBay and hope for the best
Try making a copy of my vintage half apron (with a very pretty duvet cover fabric I picked up at a jumble sale last week for 20p!!)
    Clean the bathroom

I may or may not get all of this done today, but the ambition is there!

Oh, and I also want to do a proper inventory of freezer/cupboards etc.

Hope everyone has a good, constructive day,

    Hugs xx

    Morning all!
Been reading but not posting lately, we've all been ill with some viral thing and energy levels have been non-existant, time to give myself a shake. Should have been out for drinkies and lunch with a friend today, but her dog is really ill and today they will decide if its time to let her go, so no-one in the mood for a day out. Had to get up early to move the car from the drive as next door's tree which drops all its leaves in my front garden is being cut down, so less winter garden clean up for me at least. OS wise, 2 WM loads done and bedding finishing off, but too damp to dry out I fear. Will need to rethink the dinner plans as I am now in, will have a trip to the shops for inspiration as we have finally been eating up the freezer contents so it only has ice cream, puff pastry and some emergency chips lurking!
    Have a good day all
    RIP Iain

  • Good morning everyone :hello:

Well wishes for sick people and pets and heartfelt sympathy and prayers for the family of missing little April.

Weather was not promising when I left home this morning but am now wishing I had put out the washing as it's bright and breezy, oh well.

Split pea soup in the slow cooker for dinner, bacon bits or chopped up sausages will be added tonight. Walnut bread in the breadmaker and the timer is set so it will be warm when ready to serve. Pulled pork and left over rice for lunch.

Does anyone make their own yoghurt? I have been trying for the last few days, OH likes it but I find it a bit thin and sour. Possibly ok for cooking but not for eating with fruit. I keep changing the quantities and have tried a new culture but it's still not quite right.

I hope everyone has a super day :)
